In summary

Pheasant Hills Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly and accommodating staff, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for golfers of all skill levels. The course layout is noted for being straightforward with wide fairways and large greens, which some find less challenging but ideal for beginners and casual players. While the course generally receives high marks, a few visitors mention inconsistencies in green speeds and suggest that it may not offer enough challenge for more experienced golfers seeking a more demanding round.

I love this place. I'm a 100 a round golfer and appreciate the open and wide greens. The fairways/greens conditions are very good. It's definitely not the most challenging but it keeps you honest. The staff are always good to the customers. They are busy so don't try to walk on and expect to play. The prices are reasonable.

Beautiful course. Greens are moderate to large in size. They are fast. Nice fairways and bunkers on every hole that are well maintained. A good test of golf.

Love this course. You can ride or walk the course. Fun challenging holes featuring a 190 yard par 3 sand trap protecting the green making club selection key to landing by the pin. Hole 18 is a long, fun par 5 with double tier green. Go and make sure you enjoy the lovely staff and grab a beer at the 19th hole!

Course in great shape and the price is right. Fun, laid back atmosphere. Not rigid and upity like some golf courses can be. I will definitely be back.

Awesome quality gem of a course at a very reasonable rate. The course seems to have been built on a farm. Clubhouse was in an old barn building and all jazzed up inside. The pro shop wasn't really much of anything and the rest of the clubhouse was ok. The staff was great. The carts were in great shape and they store them in the barn to take out so didn't have any dew in them for early morning golfers. Just wish the carts had gps. The course was in fabulous shape. Fairways cut and in great shape. Tee boxes tended to and loved the slate teebox signs. Rough cut as one would have hope. Greens roll…

Played here for first time recently. The course is very well layed out without any super gimmicky holes. The additional Black tees help give it length that a lot of courses in the area do not have. The staff in the clubhouse/bar were very polite. The beverage cart made several stops during the time I was there and the young lady was very polite as well. Their practice areas are very nicely set up for short game. The driving range is nice but they unfortunately use limited flight balls even when they have the room for full length. Course condition was very good for the most part. I was walking…

My first year as a member and everyone on staff has made me feel welcome. The fairways are plush, always a good lie. Roughs are cut to a manageable level, greens are just fast enough to hold your attention. Great course for all levels, for those who don't feel challenged enough, try the Black tees when the wind is blowing 20 plus miles per hour! I am enjoying my first year at Pheasant Hills!

I really don't understand the 5 star reviews of this course. Yes, the staff is very nice and the course is always in good condition. But this is one of the least challenging golf courses that I have ever seen. The fairways are very wide, the greens are big and flat and the trees are very small. Some holes have water, but it's always on one side and easy to completely avoid. A great course for beginners, women and the elderly, but anyone driving from the Cities looking for an interesting, memorable and challenging track should look elsewhere.

Even though it was October, the course was in perfect shape.

Play here at least a couple times a week. Nice well kept course, plenty of length if you want to play from the back tees. Straight forward layout with trouble if you miss it, course will also reward your good shots. Huge greens that roll nicely. Very friendly staff who are a pleasure to deal with.

It's early in the year, and while most courses have fairway damage from this past winter's snow and ice, these were the best greens I've played on this year so far. Can't wait for warmer weather and some growing. This course should be great!

A great value and well worth the drive from the twin cities. Very well maintained with forgiving fairways. What more could ask for? A great pace of play? It had that too.
