In summary

Pine Hills Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and relaxed atmosphere, making it a suitable choice for beginners and those looking for a casual round. The course layout is generally well-liked, with some challenging holes and a notable par 5 on the back nine. However, there are frequent criticisms about the course's maintenance, with issues such as patchy fairways, inconsistent greens, and a subpar driving range being highlighted. Some visitors also mention occasional slow pace of play and overcrowding.

I have a new golfer (teen son) and we are finding it difficult to find public courses he can play at when we find a pocket of time. We were visiting my parents and this place was nearby. I called and the girl was super sweet and we were able to play a quick nine holes. Yes, the cart path maybe needs some patching but overall this was a decent course and the kindness of the people there was a definite plus!

Course was in pretty good shape. I would play it again especially for the price. Layout is super open so good to keep from losing balls. Pins are not to bad to locate during play. Only issue I had was has a group start half way on the course around hole 6-7 just jump in and start playing. Between me and someone else. Really slowed down the pace that we got to move at. I don’t go in to the office to say anything I just went ahead and pack me stuff up and left. Not entirely the courses fault on that. For a cheap course it’ll give it a good rating but still isn’t a high end course so don’t expect…

The course is pretty bad. Countless rock/dirt/sand spots. The majority of the hole on the front 9 had a massive hump in the middle of the fairway, so I had to drive to it to see the golfers in front before I could tee off. Fairway grass high, greens dead, awful and dangerous driving range. The staff was nice, only reason it wasn’t a one star. Played in February, maybe nicer in summer.

Nice laid back couse right off Atlanta highway. The course is well established, has been there since the 60's. Yes the fairways could be a little better but did any of y'all ever hear the term "winter rules" Yes I know its July. The greens are generally in great shape. You will never forget #15. Par 5. Tight tee shot, water and woods on left, woods on right, wetland at the bottom of hill, second or third shot is straight uphill to the green. Once you reach the green it is small with a fairly severe slant What else could you want? Attached photo is #11 par 3 The best hot dogs in Barrow coun…

Love going to the driving range here just to get away. Always good pace when playing the holes as well. Definitely recommend this place for getting back into the swing of things.

This was absolutely the worst excuse for a golf course I have ever seen. I know it was only $23 but it wasn’t worth three dollars. The fairways are practically all dirt.

Absolutely awful course. I’ve been coming here for the past couple months because of how cheap it is, but after today I will never come back. The greens are not well kept what so ever, the fairways are covered with random patches of dirt, the course is always packed with too many tee times stacked up together, and above all, the staff is EXTREMELY rude. My brother asked the lady at the front counter where he could be a hot dog (he just moved to town) and the lady gave him a sarcastic “ummm, here?” As if she thought we were idiots for asking a question. Please if you live in the winder/ Athens…

The workers in the club house were very disrespectful and rude right as we entered and started asking questions. As well as the ranger, because on the first hole he was quite rude when we were trying to make small talk waiting for the group in front to tee off. As well as that we wanted to hit the driving range before our round and they told us it was closed which it definitely wasn’t because other people were on there. They also denied us access to the golf carts in 94 degree weather. And all of the tee boxes are just practically dirt and the course looks like it is never kept up with. So ove…

Friendly staff the ranger gave us direction to the driving range and the carts are always clean they wash them immediately after you finish your round even with four people and nobody under 100 we did not feel rushed the course has many ponds that are the main challenge to this course but are picture perfect the greens run fast In the morning and get slower as the day progresses because the courses age it has gotten used to cutting everyday the staff is very welcoming and the first time that a pro shop actually has decent prices on things the fairways were bright green and in good condition th…

Great place for the beginner, I used to play a decent amount 15 years ago. Just started again this summer with my dad. We play once a week and I can already tell an improvement in my game. Friendly staff! other golfers there are generally pretty friendly there too. Front 9 is fairly easy.back 9 watch out for the tricky water hazard and a hole with a marsh pit right in the middle of the fairway. Pretty challenging with that one. Overall great place to play and learn the game at a very fair price.

Had a great day playing this course! The course was very dry so I added around 30-50 yards on my driver! The course pretty much allows anything so I brought my own drinks and cooler. And the price is so low I don't think any course can beat that in Georgia. But I do wonder if Dillian ever got married

Great course for the money. Laid back. Staff is very friendly. Not sure why anyone would complain. Do your research and find out what kind of course it if. It’s not a country club. It’s cow pasture golf and it’s fun and challenging. Laid back but can get a little packed. I wonder if Dillian ever got married? Anyone who thinks a golf course owes you for a window isn’t too bright!! Bryan below never leaves a good review anywhere he goes. Keep that in mind.
