The Chimneys Golf Course

This is a REALLY nice course. It's challenging, yet pretty fair. The greens are new and REALLY hard and VERY fast ! I'm sure that the greens will be more receptive as they age. I'm telling you now to work on your short game before you head to this course! If you can pitch it high with a lot of spin then you'll have a chance to score. I was paired with a young man at Lane Creek and he highly recommended this course. He’s a member and I drive a hour and 20 minutes to play today. Let’s just say I was blown away. This course is well worth the money. Beautiful layout. Fast greens. No houses. Pace of play was not terrible. Staff were so nice. Guy in the proshop(hate that I didn’t get his name. He was absolutely phenomenal, helpful and friendly. If I lived closer I would join immediately! I will definitely make this a must play when I’m in the area. I can’t wait to bring my wife and 3 sons to play.

Decent course good greens nice people, the fairways don't get overseed so they run slow and brown during winter and fall but overall a B+ for the course.

The chimneys have excellent greens and a great layout. I played with Big John, Ryan, and Reece from the pro shop. They were very professional and enjoyable to be around. Can’t recommend this public golf course enough.

The golf course is in excellent shape with a great layout. The pro shop was well stocked with plenty of variety of golf apparel, shoes, bags, etc.. The staff was friendly. Highly recommend if you’re in the Winder area.

Fantastic course! We were here for a junior tournament and very impressed with course tee to green. Beautiful attention to detail and you can tell they take pride in the course. Dan in the pro shop was great. All the staff seemed to understand what people needed for a big event. Can’t wait to come back and play here again!

Great course! Absolutely a blast of a layout! I played the blues, which was about right. Mixture of long and short holes. Some of the par 5s were beasts! Greens rolled smooth. Loved it there. Signed, an avid golfer who plays all over.

The staff was friendly and professional. This was my first time going to the driving range. It was enjoyable. I did not play a round of golf, so I cannot comment on the course.

This is a course worth playing if you are in the area. Very good conditions all around. Greens were firm and fast. All the staff was super friendly. Only criticism is the carts need a good cleaning. Most had mold on the seats. Also bring an extra towel to wipe off the dew on the seats if you are playing early.

Course was in excellent condition. Course layout was challenging. Staff was very helpful. All in all, a very enjoyable day. Will definitely play again the next time I am in town.

Was down in the area on a trip from Canada and was recommended this course for how nice it was. The recommendation payed off as this is a beautiful course I would recommend anyone in the area plays. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were all really well kept, and the layout of the course was really fun to play. The staff was also very friendly, especially big John in the pro shop.
