In summary

Pinestone Resort & Conference Centre is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, peaceful setting, and good value for money, particularly highlighted by guests who enjoyed events like weddings and snowmobile races. However, many visitors express concerns over the dated facilities and lack of maintenance, noting issues such as closed amenities, outdated decor, and misleading marketing regarding modern features. While some guests enjoyed the on-site restaurant, others found it understaffed or unavailable, contributing to a mixed overall experience.

Just spent two nights in one of the villas. Room was clearly once a very high end. It lacks maintenance baddly. Room was clean enough and had great views and parking for snowmobiles was excellent… Restaurant was very good.. The staff was excellent trying very hard…you can see them struggling. OWNERS….pay your staff and give them a chance or get out of the resort business. You clearly lack any class or style… I feel if this place lasts another month will be miracle…

Even though its under renovation. Rooms were very clean. Service was good.. The only down fall was the restaurant inside the resort. Wasn't very good. Either understaffed or something. And thr winter menu is super small.

Visited The pinestone on friday late in the evening after snowmobiling all day and was greeted by a lovely lady named Natalie. She put us 3 in a room and was very accommodating and nice. We will definitely be coming back. At the end of the day a hotels are a dime a dozen but the staff is what makes it stands out. Thanks Natalie 😊

We stayed for two nights in one of the villas at Pinestone Resort and had a great time as a family. The resort has a peaceful setting and offers good value for money. The on-site restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with great food and warm service. The villa itself was comfortable, though some parts could use a bit of touch-up or light renovation. Even with that, we enjoyed our stay and found the overall experience relaxing and enjoyable. A great place to stay if you’re visiting Haliburton. We would happily return.

The property is beautiful and the staff were very nice, but parts of the stay were disappointing. The rooms were clean and comfortable but dated. The website mentions “modern amenities,” but there really aren’t any-no smart TV, no bedside plugs for devices, and the coffee machine was in the bathroom-literally nothing modern about any of the amenities. The outside entry/exit doors are convenient but not secured with key cards-anyone can access them, and one near us didn’t even close properly, which didn’t feel safe. The pool and fitness centre were also unavailable, which has apparently been…

Wow. What can I say about pinestone? My husband and I recently got married there and I am blown away. The team at pinestone went above and beyond. From the moment we saw it, we knew it was our perfect wedding venue. Not only is the whole team incredible, but the venue itself is breathtaking. The rooms are rustic and cabin like, giving a nostalgic feel. The grounds are well kept and busy with many golfers! The ballroom where we had our reception was outstanding! The food was delicious, the drinks were plentiful, the staff took care of everything, and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding.…

This used to be a wonderful place to stay. So many good memories there. Now, it is filthy, musty and worn. It is shameful that it has been totally neglected and disgusting. The building they thought I should stay in was unsafe, not secure etc. Pool was empty with a hose in the bottom of it. Furniture was worn, holes in the walls. Even the carpet under the desk at reception had a large hole in it.

Never stayed at the Pinestone, my wife worked there for a summer 25 years ago. Place is definitely dated but the service was friendly and proficient. Stopped in as they had some Snowmobile racing happening which was cool. Will like to explore more.

Very friendly staff. Great mattresses and pillows. Clean rooms. No pools. Note that it's pretty dated so manage your expectations. It looks like it was probably a really nice place back in the day. I didn't golf but it looked like it was a nice place to golf. It was well maintained. I would stay here again when we are back next summer.

The Good: The service was good, helpful front desk staff. I had lots of hot water and decent water pressure, and the beds were clean and comfortable. The Bad: The room was not fully cleaned when I arrived, there was a used coffee filter in the maker and a dirty ashtray on the balcony. The cleaning was addressed the next day. I felt my room's decor was dated (guessing 1990's) and showed wear and tear, carpet was worn and ripped, wallpaper was coming off in several areas and was patched in several others, the screen door was not locking or closing correctly. The pool and gym were closed for repa…

Hotel was very rundown they put us in the back building. The main building had water issues so no room rooms were available. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in the back building no cell phone reception. The room phone did not work and their restaurant was closed and under renovations, we checked out and got a refund wouldn’t suggest staying here.

Excellent weekend of snowmobile races. Just wish the restaurant/bar kept longer hours.
