The course is noted for its challenging layout and well-maintained fairways, though several reviewers highlight issues with the greens, describing them as poorly maintained with dead spots and uneven surfaces. Good course. Alot of challenging holes. Fairways well kept and greens well kept. This is a 9hole course which is not bad at all. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great course to improve any aspects of your game. Will definitely be coming back.

The owner is a nice fellow and the place is close to the city at a good price. But you get what you paid for. The fairways are really rough. Think about the tallest rough you see at the course that’s the fair way. The greens are beat up. Some areas look like the cart path. It was 100% the worst course conditions I have ever seen. I say good one fore beginners on price but pay the $10 extra and play at a good course. I played here thinking we can men’s league here next season. No way!!!!!!!!!!

What a goat track! For beginners only. Greens running at 5 with big dead spots on them. Paid 37 dollars for 18 holes and got totally ripped off. Played behind 3 guys that wouldn't let me through the back nine. I hit 20 chip shots on every green and still waited on ever tee. Hit 5 chips after putting out on 18 (nobody behind me for 3 holes) the guy in the pro shop came down and chewed me out for "practicing". There's guy needs to find a new job! Hopefully something that's not in the golf business. So, if your looking for an awful golf course run by rude people, prairie oaks is the course for yo…

1 star is too many…. 2 words. FLIPPING DISASTER. Owner was a total jerk, we called there asking about available tee times and he was calling us drunks, and the course is a total mess. I suggest you avoid this course at all costs

I have been to this course a handful of times this year and I don't have a bad thing to say. The staff is kind and welcoming and that alone merits the 5 stars. The course, despite a very dry summer, has been in good shape and offers a nice variety of holes. It's got a great atmosphere (all my friends can't believe how quiet it is) and I have not had any trouble booking a tee-off. The food is great (particularly the smokies, burgers and breakfast) and to top it all off, the price is right! This course is great for skilled players, learning players and hackers alike.

The owners are nice and the food is ok. But this was the worst golf course I have played the greens are beat up the grass is long everywhere and the cart paths are like off roading in a 4x4. If they were to maintain it it would be a nice little course but the way it is now I will never go back

I’d rather golf at Southside or Lorette Gc that’s in the area. I used to golf here consistently due to it being cheap and it was good practise as it was never super busy. I really liked the owners as well. But, the owners son flipped out on someone that I was golfing with that was a novice golfer who accidentally drove the cart near the tee box. Forsure the person I was with was in the wrong, but this guy was screaming and yelling. I understand get mad but not to this point. I’m not a novice golfer and I’ve been golfing for years having memberships at several different places over the years,…

Very, very dry summer so far, but it must have rained that morning. The fairways were dry, but decent. Some of the holes that traditionally had water around had almost completely dried. It made it nice to locate many new-found golf balls. 🙂 The tees and greens were a very different story. Alternating sections of very long, shaggy grass mixed with rough dead patches - greens and tees. A few greens were top-dressed with fragrant manure. We found it very difficult to putt and the ball went hopping and bouncing in different directions along the way to the hole. The green on the final hole was a…

Now, im not a good golfer to be clear. Having said that, my visit was not amazing. The staff (one person) was very friendly. The course, was a bit rough but to be fair there has been a lot of rain lately. The outhouse for use is very poorly maintained. You're better off going in the bush. The restaurant is very limited in food options and the mens washroom has been neglected for a long time. I still had a good time due mostly to the company i was with.

I was shocked at how good this course was. It's a full nine holes with tough rough and needs your full attention. I had been told this was a tournament course and had by-passed it for many years only to find that was a huge mistake. It is fully open to the public and has a great clubhouse with very nice personnel. Bring you best driver and be prepared for an excellent experience.

The staff were very friendly , course was laid out ok . Greens were horrible , dead flat brown grass with green patches . Made it almost impossible to putt.

Great course, amazing owners and incredible value, saying that there is only 3 staff they are doing an incredible job. Where drinks are cold and memories are made. Also they support local companies heavily which is a nice added bonus.
