In summary

Southside Golf Course is often praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere, making it a suitable choice for both beginners and more experienced golfers. The course layout, featuring mostly par 3 holes, is appreciated for its accessibility and serene prairie setting. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play and management issues, particularly with the women's league and course marshals.

I cannot even begin to explain how incredibly unhappy with how the Southside women’s league has been handled under the new ownership for 2026. We were told repeatedly that registration could happen anytime and that everyone would be accommodated. That turned out not to be true. Had we known there were limits or deadlines, we would have registered much earlier. Last year’s structure worked well and was so enjoyable, which makes this year’s lack of communication even more frustrating. The way things were managed has left me with very low confidence in how the league will run for those who did g…

Great course. The service is great and it’s quick course to play. Fairways and greens are in great shape. The restaurant is great. You call on the course and they bring you your order.

Wonderful ladies league. Plenty of opportunities to book your 8 games in a 12 week period- Monday or Tuesday. Great staff and some fun swag! Food specials were great. Themes were fun. Only improvements would be timing of meals coming out at the same time.

Great practice facility and executive course! Serene prairie landscapes.... very calming environment! This flat layout is a par 63, 4700 yard track with large, sloping greens. Good food is a bit expensive but made with a smile! Staff are very attentive and friendly. A 3 hour round is sometimes a busy guy's best option. Enjoy!

i really enjoyed my time here, it’s a hidden gem. definitely worth a try for a very casual game of golf. it’s mostly all par 3 on both front and back. wasn’t very busy and could take my time while i played. will definitely be coming back.

Nice golf course located within minutes of the south perimeter. Not to challenging, but it still has a fair amount of sand traps and water hazards.

First tee box this am. 612. Course is in excellent shape. Only issue was they let member jump holes in front of us which slowed us up.

Not too pleased with our few experiences. Most recently we requested we just play the 2 of us when we booked our tee time. When we arrive at hole one, the Marshall tells us we’re playing with the people in front of us. Who by the way are on a cart and we are walking. I say we booked it for just the 2 of us, and he got pretty defensive pretty quickly saying that we would have to wait awhile until a spot opens up. The course clearly packs players in there back to back because we were backed up the whole game. Also for some odd reason they chose 11am to water the greens that people are activel…

The worst course I've ever been to. Poorly run, slow. Ladies league us absolutely brutal. They take your money but won't honor all your games. Youre expected to golf in the rain. Stay away from this dump.
