In summary

Quitman Country Club is frequently praised for its scenic and well-maintained course, featuring unique and challenging layouts with water hazards and an island hole. Visitors appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the course's historical charm and peaceful setting. However, some players note issues with confusing tee locations, lack of amenities like restrooms and ball washers, and occasional drainage problems after rain.

A little gem 💎 in the country. This was the second time we've played this course. Last time was about 8 years ago, and it's much improved. Despite multiple inches of rain the day before, the course drains well, except the first hole was closed. No problem, tee off on 18, then go to second hole. This is a very scenic course with challenging holes. The back nine is awesome. I'm from Hilton Head which has some great courses, but homes line the fairways. This course brings me back to my roots. The owner checked us in and is top notch, she opened early and we were on our way, and she offered disco…

A hidden gem within South Georgia. 18 hole course that will challenge every level of golfer. Price is great, driving range is sufficient, new carts, and a lot of wildlife. Course is in great condition, fast pace, and a stocked clubhouse. My go to place to pkay!

This is such an underrated golf course! It’s my favorite course in the Valdosta area and the price is incredible! New gas carts, friendly staff, and they just redid the greens on the front 9. If you’re in the area I would stop by. Lots of water hazards and a fun island hole.

Their 18 hole weekly rate for cart and golf is $25, weekend is $40. The place was built in 1914 and is historical in nature. The course is fantastic, I used every club in the bag. The course is in amazing shape for mid-Jan. The par 5s are long and challenging. The greens are fast and curvy. The owner gave us a history lesson and was very friendly. We enjoyed it so much we are going back to play on Saturday.....highly recommend, A+

At this point, the front 9 is closed due to the greens are being renovated and you can play the back 9 two times for your 18. The back 9 is in great condition and the greens are fast. Yes, I would play it again.

The greens are gimmicky. The slope on 7 to 8 if them is worse than playing putt putt golf. Entire greens have 8+ percent slopes. Tee Boxes aren't pretty but I've seen worse. The fairways are pretty good but what does that matter when the greens are nearly unplayable. I wanted to like the course but I would recommend going elsewhere if you can.

I was very surprised at the beauty of this course. The greens and fairways were well maintained. The course seemed like a state park with lots of wildlife present (I saw deer, turtles, and squirrles after only playing 2 holes. Very cool). I did not like the confusing tee locations, lack of clear cart paths, or anything about the pro shop. Everyone playing the course seemed very nice. Not a course to play after a rain. Extremely boggy with poor drainage. However, I will definitely try this courae again.

we love this course it is a layed back place to come spend your Saturday or Sunday playing golf. A lot of hills on the fair ways over the water shots and even a island on hole 8. This course was a 9 hole course back in the day but now it has a back nine. The price you pay to play this course is just right to. The new owners are very nice. I will be playing here again soon.

Great course. Not the most amazing course ever condition wise but really unique/well kept and fun rolling hills fairways, over water shots, an island green, mooing cows on tee box #1, old live oaks, and really no one usually to rush you. I'm much more relaxed at this course.

Absolutely one of the best courses in S. GA. We try and play at least once a week. The course itself is laid out very well and is kept in very good condition. The laid back atmosphere and friendly staff make this course our go to! Thank you to the owners for making this course what it is!!!

Fun course. Greens and fairways are in great shape. The layout is a little confusing so pay attention your first time out. All in all, it's a well maintained course. Greens are small but roll true.
