In summary

Reid Municipal Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, affordable rates, and friendly staff, making it an appealing option for both beginners and casual golfers. The course layout is generally appreciated, though some find certain holes challenging due to their proximity to each other. Criticisms include issues with the driving range setup, occasional slow pace of play, and the condition of porta-potties.

Fun Fact: I learned during the City of Appleton Government Resident Leadership Academy that this city-owned course costs tax payers $0. Friendly and informative staff. This was our first time golfing this course, and the gentleman in the pro shop helped us navigate using the score card map and the convenience of pointing out the window to direct us toward Hole 1. They did have a drink cart gal, who got to us quickly. Mostly canned drinks. Not a full bar, no mixed drinks. Golfers where spaced out nicely. We're very amateur golfers, but had no one on our tail. The pair in front of us sliced a…

Wow I was surprised by how nice this course was. It's a nice parkland course. The greens are bigger than I thought and some movement. #10, 11, 12 and 13 is the best stretch of holes. #6 is a great Par 3 with elevated green. #14 and #15 were good par 4's. #17 and #18 are unique as you go across the street and play behind the clubhouse. The price was good and the condition was ok considering the wet weather recently. The hospitality was really good. Good job Appleton!

This course is owned by the city so it is very affordable and well maintained. Course is friendly, great for beginners and casuals. It's a neat course.

This is a decent course, a few gimmick holes and the overly fast greens ruin it. For tournaments, they double roll them and can put the pins in just impossible areas. 4 or more putts and putting off the greens by above average players isn’t uncommon. Range is irons only but there is a mediocre short game area. There is drinking water on the course.

Welcoming staff. Golf course is in great shape. Club house well set up for social distancing and seemed to be well cleaned. Golf carts even looked and felt freshly cleaned. Pins had pool noodles in the cups to keep your balls on top. Highly recommended for a laid back round of twilight golf.

We just went here for the first time and took advantage of twilight golf on a Friday evening. For $26 each we were able to complete 12 holes before it gott too dark. The course is really well maintained, the clubhouse is very very clean and inviting. My only complaint, are the Porta potties. I understand that golf is a male dominated sport, but it would be nice to have cleaner and less smelly Porta potties. Customer service was top-notch and we really enjoyed our time.

Great municipal course. I was surprised how well this course was tended to for a municipal course. The front 9 was a lot of back and forth and wasn't back bit the back 9 was noticeably more interesting with terrain. Green fees not bad for how this course was. Pro shop small but club house ok. Greens and general cut was cared to well. Fun course to play which I can understand why it's so busy to get tee times.

During Winter, this is a popular place for sledding. Big open area. Hills are not too big but fun enough for young children to enjoy.

Carly did an excellent job with the drink cart! She was incredibly friendly and helpful. My family and I had a wonderful time golfing for my birthday.

Reid Golf Course I won’t be golfing here again. On August 30th 2024, I was hit in the temple by a rogue golf ball on the 7th fairway from someone that shanked a line drive from the driving range not far from me. The driving range and the 7th fairway tee off right next to each other. There are always balls from the driving range in the 7th fairway. Never thought about what danger golfers are in until it was too late for me. I am very fortunate it has only left me with a high pitched very loud buzzing in my ears, a headache and a loss of balance. My friends saved me by holding their golf towels…
