Hidden gem, and Sue is amazing. Course has been in great shape every time I have played. People are nice relaxed and respectful. Course has some challenging holes you could say. Greens are in fantastic shape. Maybe the only “knock” clubhouse could use a little love for the employees. Always coming back.

9 hole golf course. Well maintained greens and fairways. Challenging course in lay up and water hazards. We made a tee time for Friday afternoon. There were a few people out on the course. We would come out again to play.

The course is in great shape. Greens are amazing. Prices are normal for the area. The staff are kind and friendly. Nice little hidden course.

Very fun 9 hole course just off Hwy 2. Clubhouse with bar. Course has some fun holes, with some elevation changes, water on a couple holes, and some challenging tee boxes. Course was in pretty good shape.

A hidden gem of a 9 holer that's not hiding at all. Thirty minutes East of Duluth on Hwy 2. Can't miss it, don't skip it, play it. You'll enjoy it.

Fun and challenging course! Great 9 holes for kids! The ladies in the club house were FANTASTIC! One of the groundskeepers was pretty rude to one of us who has been battling cancer and other diseases and doesn't golf much which was a complete disappointment... He was sarcastic and rude instead of kindly redirecting... Hard to want to learn a new sport when you are treated that way.

Course is always in very good condition. Fun course to play and price is good. Always love golfing here

Wow! Played in morning and had such a great time we played the Retreat again in the afternoon. What more can I say than this is an awesome course you should visit. Great layout combined with top notch conditions makes for a great day😀

Driving along Hwy 2 heading to Bemidji, we came across this beautiful 9-hole golf course out in the middle of nowhere! JACKPOT......it is a great little course, very well maintained and managed, course was in excellent shape & the people in the club house were extremely friendly. We've golfed a lot of courses and are SOOO glad we came across this one, is the top 9-hole course we've ever done. Thanks Retreat for letting us on last minute, wish we didn't live so far away!
