In summary

River Bend Golf Course is widely appreciated for its well-maintained grounds, scenic setting along the Red Deer River, and family-friendly amenities, including a pitch and putt and recreational activities like tubing and skiing. The staff receives positive feedback for their friendliness and helpfulness, particularly in event planning and golf lessons. However, some visitors have noted issues with course layout, such as closely spaced holes, and occasional management pressure regarding pace of play.

Our favourite summer spot in Red Deer! Discovery Canyon is SO much fun for all ages, the kids love the swimming pond, lazy river and to play at the beach. The playground is super nice as well and there is so much grass to play all kinds of games. The concession is a little expensive but the staff is always super friendly. And 7$ for a tube for a whole day is super reasonable. We, however, just buy a tube and bring it with us, as well as a picnic/some snacks. This place is SO much fun!

This place blew my expectations away. I traveled from Calgary to play with a buddy from Edmonton. I didn't know what to expect. This course is so immaculately taken care of. The fairways are cut to perfection and greens are smooth. This course reminded me of BC. They have a great 18 along with a pitch and put for the younger kids. Or a quick little outing for a double date. 2 practice greens and gorgeous driving range

Gorgeous little course down in the heart of the Red Deer river valley. Lots of wildlife and the course was in very good shape for the most part during the 2020 season. Had a membership this year and played almost 60 rounds, glad I did as we are probably moving west of the rockies next spring. They also have a great little 9 hole par 3 pitch and put between 40-80yrds that is great for families and beginners.

Spent a large portion of our summer here. Love it. Rob gave my boys golf lessons also and he was fantastic. Highly recommend. Tubing is always fun here too.

Beautiful, well-maintained course with a relaxed atmosphere. Great for golfers of all levels. Also a peaceful spot to walk or snowshoe in off-season. One of Red Deer’s best-kept outdoor gems.

We had a fantastic day here. Beautiful course, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Course was well maintained. Fairways were in immaculate condition, some greens need a bit of work. Overall...good experience.

We recently had our wedding (outdoor ceremony & indoor reception) at River Bend and we could not have asked for a better experience! Ryan, the chef/event coordinator, was a dream to work with - he was a huge help throughout the planning process answering a million of our questions, and our customized menu that he created was incredible & delicious! If you’re considering having an event there of any kind, I would HIGHLY recommend doing so. Thank you RB crew!!!

Sometimes bathing in a golf course pond is just what the doctor ordered. Sometimes its the wife with the orders. Either way we were in here the other night bathing and chasing each other around in our birthday suits. Got the laundry all cleaned, gathered and cleaned drinking water for the week and hit the road for edmonton before sunrise. Golf sucks
