Roosevelt Golf Course

Played Roosevelt for the first time. The course is in good shape. Challenging pin placement on a couple holes. I'll be back!

If you want to improve your putting game, do not play this course. The greens have weeds throughout and the ball was bouncing and taking all kinds of turns when hitting the weeds. The Villages maintenance staff should be embarrassed. I have been playing golf for over 50 years and have never seen such pathetic greens!!!

Great course, challenging par 3's

I would have liked it much more if it was in better shape. Rolling hills and elevated greens with water and sand traps make it very pleasant on the eye. Seems like all of the courses are worn out, so it's not just this course that gets 3 stars.

Very good executive golf course, 2 par 4's and 7 par 3's. Greens are challenging and in very good condition. White sand sandtraps and water add to the fun and beauty of this hilly course. Play from the black tee box's for a challenging round.

Excellent course with undulating fairways and greens on rolling hills. Enough water and bunkers to keep it interesting. Serious challenge for par 3's and beautiful surroundings. Earns that level 4 category.

The golf course is a nice mixture holes. There are back-to-back par 4's. I played the back tees and they were a decent challenge. My girlfriend played the green tees and she found them to be enjoyable as well.

I really like this executive course but today the greens were atrocious. Weedy, bare, bumpy - they were aerated on May 12th so maybe bumpy is expected but not weeds & bare spots.

It was a good course. The greens were ok. The tees are ok.

Didn't play Roosevelt. We played Truman. The course was tough. Some 180 yard par 3's into to the wind. Had fun will return again. Truman and Roosevelt Golf courses operate out of the sam starter shack.

1st hole is easy, but than 2nd hole changes to an elevated green with a trap on the left. Holes 3,4, & 5 have greens that are narrow. If you miss to the left or short, ball rolls down a hill leaving an uphill chip shot. 5th hole miss to the right & the ball could end up on the water. 6th hole is short par 4 with a narrow landing area. Par 4 7th hole is uphill with traps in front of green. 8th & 9th hole are similar to hole 3 & 4 with narrow greens. Must be accurate from Black tees or else.

Temperature was 50 degrees, wind was 18 mph. Course was in perfect condition. Tough round. Fun day. Excellent golf course.
