In summary

Royal Ontario Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, diverse layout, and stunning natural setting, making it a popular choice for both golfing and events. The staff is often commended for their friendliness and service, contributing to a positive overall experience. However, some visitors have noted issues such as slow pace of play, uneven tee boxes, and maintenance concerns with sand traps and carts, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

If you appreciate a course that is truly well-maintained, this is the place. I was enjoying my last few rounds before the snow, and even in the late fall, the conditioning was superb. The fairways were lush and tight, and the tee boxes were like carpets. While they were working on the necessary fall aeration on the greens (no golfer loves to putt on the plugs, but it's crucial and understandable!), it clearly shows their commitment to quality. Knowing they invest in the turf's health means this course will be excellent come spring. Don't miss out on a late-season round here!

Played today first time. Course was in pristine shape. Loved the layout of the course good elevation changes and lots of hazards. Great challenge and price. 1:50pm senior group ahead of us was very slow. Other than that great course.

Great track, but it's too wet to get any bounces. DRAINAGE issues? In addition, all tee boxes have little level areas. Very bowed. You stand above or below the ball on the tee shot. Boxes should be regarded level to command the $150 green fee I paid. Lastly, it would be great if some tree branches were trimmed. Some have grown out, and they block sight lines and ball flight on good shoots. A good 💚 keeper would play the course weekly to increase the enjoyment and conditions of his clients. Played opening round April 23, 2025. There had been some work done on the course, and it's ongoing. Nice…

Very nice views, lush fairways and punishing rough. The greens were nothing fancy, I am sure they are faster in the summer. Some of the tee blocks need a lot of work as they are very uneven. The sand traps have very little sand and are full of rocks. Not what I would expect from a course in this price range. Pace of play was horrible, our round took over 5 hours. We waited on every shot on the back nine. When we finally got to the 18th hole there were 5 groups on it, 1 on the green, 2 on the fairway and 2 at the tee deck. Not a marshall anywhere to keep groups moving. The two that we were pair…

Fantastic. First time visiting this course. Only did the 9 holes, but the conditions and views are great. It's somewhat intimidating for a new golfer like me, but I still enjoyed it.

This is a very nice and challenging course, especially from blue tees onwards. Been playing here for a number of years. The staff is nice and the course is well maintained. Lately, Kaneff have made carts mandatory which is a bummer. Played the course the other day mid week and took 5 hrs to finish the round in carts. The greens were painfully slow and tee boxes beaten up and uneven. Hopefully, it was one off and Management will be quick to fix that.

We were married at the ROGC this spring and were treated with the most incredible service by Matt and Kelly and all the staff! Getting married after COVID we were concerned that things wouldn't be smooth, but we couldn't have been more wrong. This team did so much to ensure a perfect day, and they beautiful golf course grounds, delicious food, and everything in-between just made it all the more magical.

Nice course and nice staff that work there. Great diversity in holes. Double fairway is a cool feature. Nice range too, but balls are flight limited.

It is one of the most beautiful golf course in Toronto. You will enjoy both golfing and the splendid trees spurning you. Autumn must be the best season at Royal Ontario golf club.

When here for a business event in October. The scenery was great as well as the event space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food provided was good and the club house restaurant was also good. Sadly did not get a chance to golf but perhaps next time.

Beautiful secluded 18 hole course, it's unbelievable that this exists so close to the GTA. Kal and Brian, two of the managing staff were amazing and took care of everything we needed at our company golf tournament. And Matt, the head chef, prepared a wonderful dinner to end the night.
