In summary

Hornby Glen Golf Course is appreciated for its walkable layout, forgiving fairways, and friendly staff, making it a pleasant destination for golfers. The course is generally well-maintained, with fast greens and a scenic setting that includes mature trees and open spaces. However, some visitors feel that the pricing is steep given certain maintenance issues, such as dry patches on fairways and outdated amenities, and there are occasional concerns about the management of pace of play.

Played 18 holes today. Overall course layout is beginner friendly and forgiving. My issues: 1. We paid $90 for green fees + push cart rental. Definitely way too expensive for a course of this caliber. The greens aren’t that well maintained, there’s no driving range or nets to warm up at, and the tee boxes could definitely use some love. Overall, things I’m completely fine with and expect at a course with green fees around $40-$60. But definitely not from a course that charges this much 2. After the first 4-5 holes, we had a marshal approach us and ask us to pick up the pace because “there’s…

I’d give it 4.5 stars. Course is in good shape. Greens are fast. It’s very walkable with gradual elevation changes. Very open so forgiving to bad shots. I played on a Tuesday morning and it only took 3.5 hours to play 18. Staff was very friendly. I will be back many times.

Fabulous evening round of 9. Clean, beautiful grounds. Very walkable as the course has little elevations. Very welcoming patio and restaurant after despite the late finishing. Coming back for sure.

Course is good; but could be much better. GolfNorth just recently acquired this course. If they put the time and money into this course, it could be a great destination track! The fairways are more like short rough, needs water and trim. Plenty of dry patches which causes your ball to bounce very high. Greens are fast and true; barely any breaks. Note that cart paths are gravel roads, not even paved. What was surprising is that the attendant in the pro told me there is no running water at all outside which means the backshop cannot clean the power carts after players have used it. All pow…

This place has so much potential to be a premium golf course. Golf north needs to put money in to fix the whole golf course from tee boxes to greens. Like many other reviews, the fairways are hard with bare patches, no sand in the bunkers and very slow greens.

Played the course last week and found it surprisingly good. I always thought it was a short and flat course but its anything but that. Its a good track and in great shape. The staff is fantastic, the pace of play is great and the Marshall is clearly ensuring everyone is having a good game. The value is great and I will be back soon.

Great course. Each hole has its own character and the course is in good shape. Beautiful visual coming to the 18th green which is surrounded by huge willow trees.

Everyone was nice. Played as a single one, and the three I played with were fun and friendly. The course was well maintained. Flat course. Fun day!

Great track. Not too difficult. There is trouble for sure. Like most public courses you still need to have a decent understanding of how to swing a golf club. Weekend rates are a little steep.

Played it 20 years ago and my recent game there was great. The many improvements to the course over the years has made it very enjoyable and pleasant to play.

A very walkable mature course just north of highway 401 in Halton Hills that's always well maintained. I play here several times a season and always enjoy the round. Lots of parking, friendly staff and a casual clubhouse makes for a relaxing day. On course the greens are consistently firm but fair and hold approach shots well. The layout is forgiving so you can swing away with room for a stray shot or two. The only minor suggestions I have would be to update the older gas golf carts and maybe have a few more sand boxes on the tee decks for golfers to fill divots after drives. However I'd stil…

Great course overall, like how the cart has a wash for your ball and clubs. Will be back here again.
