What People Say

In summary

Sacandaga Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, well-maintained course, and enjoyable layout, which is particularly suitable for beginners and those looking for a relaxed round. The driving range and pro shop receive positive mentions for their quality and service. However, some visitors express concerns about the course's short length, predominance of par 3 holes, and occasional maintenance issues, such as full garbage bins and patchy greens.

Great short course! Nothing too distracting or too pressuring for your golf game. Would be perfect for those early rounds where you want to not be punished for mistakes. As well as the course they have a driving range

Great group of people at Holland Meadows, with the best driving range and pro-shop in the area. The course is well maintained and fun to play, but is on the short end with the majority of the holes being par 3's. Despite that it's still my favorite local course to play, and practice at.

Nice course, perfect for beginners as it's short and has no sand traps. Very good prices for a round and their driving range is great. Prices for gear could be better but hey, they have to make money too!

A very short course, way too many par threes. The greens were in pretty good shape, the fairways were a little deep. A really nice clubhouse with bags clubs clothing and accessories. The staff were courteous. And they did have a nice driving range.

Expensive to hit balls at the driving range given the conditions. Not friendly to people new to golf, tried to hit at the range and was told we were hitting too close to the fence. Get taller fences/upgrade facilities or go to hails mills instead. Other guy usually working the counter is much friendlier.

Played 9 holes early on Columbus Day while on our way back to Syracuse NY from Cape Cod. Pretty wet morning but the greens and course were in good shape even after they had an annual tournament the day before. Staff dried our cart off and we played an enjoyable 9 holes on a short but fun course....with some tough greens....wish we lived closer to play here more often

Place is kinda of a mess. Garbages have been full last 3 times there all the way around course. Greens have brown terrible spots of more than just a few holes. Just looks like nobody cares about the place. Just cut the grass and be done

I came here today to use the driving range. It might not be beautiful or belong in a magazine. But it's quiet, the staff are polite and in the afternoon and into the evening you can find spots that place you in the Shadow of the pro-shop so you don't get too much sun. So I think that it fits the criteria for what I'm looking for.

This course is not worth the money at all. It is way overpriced for what it is. This is as “backyard” golf as you can get. The course is very dangerous, the holes are right next to each other with 7 holes on the first 9 being all par 3’s... As you are coming down hole 9, you notice a net that is supposed to be protecting you from the driving range but realize that the netting is tattered with gaping holes in it. This course is not maintained or cured. If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would. I won’t be golfing here again and if you are a serious golfer, you shouldn’t either.

I have not golfed here, my nephew gets lessons. The pro is nice. My nephew likes him and he is very patient. The course looks decent.

Great course for beginners or if you're in town visiting. Nothing crazy challenging. Possible for all skill levels to par a couple of holes.
