Sagamore Spring Golf Club is a North Shore classic with real history and charm. The course layout is fun yet challenging, with great elevation changes and well-maintained greens. You can feel the tradition in every hole. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall value is excellent for the quality of the experience. A few areas could use a little extra care, but it’s still one of the more enjoyable rounds I’ve had this season.

I had the opportunity to be the first one out at 5AM, great track. Not too many hazards, playable for the average golfer. I recommend it.

If you are a public course golfer who lives north of Boston, I highly recommend making Sagamore Springs (Saggy to many) your home course. As a long time customer, I can see the things that ownership has done over the past couple of years to improve the overall golfing experience. They are succeeding. Management, pro-shop, hospitality, and maintenance staff are all top notch. This year over 20 out of my 40+ public course rounds I have been played at Sagamore and the overall course conditions are at the top even with the amount of play that Sagamore gets. Folks gripe about the pace of play. It i…

It was pouring rain the night before and throughout the morning. Had a delayed start due to the rain, and still the course held up with only one small little visible puddle throughout the whole course. It was above my expectations for that day and the staff is friendly and helpful. For the price, it's a nice course and well maintained.

Love the front 9. Back is tight- but this is a great course for the area. Staff is excellent and you can really tell there’s a real sense of community w/ the patrons.

Staff, starters and the maintenance staff on the course were friendly and socialble. Course in good shape considering the summer we've had. Lost a star due to numerous ball marks on the greens.

The course, was in very mediocre shape, partially due to the large construction that’s going on. But also because they had just punched the greens and were sanding over the greens in front of us virtually every hole and moved the pin off the Green so putting was impossible. It would have been nice to get a heads up on working on the greens when we were paying. Low class. No more driving range or putting green?? The fairways and tee boxes were ok. The starter was a jerk! The group ahead of of were ahead by more than 15 minutes. The starter made us wait for a local who was running behind sched…

Hidden gem! Able to get some chipping, putting, trap, and range practice in. My only complaint is that they only have turf to hit off of.

I picked this course while vacationing because it is near our hotel. I hope the slow play is not as bad as the reviews. Sunday morning at 0730 can't be that bad. I will update with the outcome after the round. UPDATE: That 0730 tee time was supposed to be a 0621 tee time. We got there late but between Billy and the pro shop, we were able to get out with another two some. The round of golf only took about 4 hours and 20 minutes and the course was in good shape and challenging so I am going to leave my review at 5 stars.
