In summary

Cedar Glen Golf Course receives praise for its generally good course condition, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for local golfers. However, some visitors report issues with course maintenance, such as dirt tee boxes and divots, as well as concerns about the pace of play and customer service. While many enjoy the layout and accessibility, others have experienced less favorable interactions with staff and management.

Nice course, well maintained and great prices. E walked but will ride next time. **Headline: Memorable Golf Day at Cedar Glen with FoxholeP Leading the Pack** *SAUGUS, MA* - The picturesque Cedar Glen Golf Course in Saugus hosted a thrilling golf day yesterday, marked by competitive spirit and camaraderie among the participants. The standout performer of the day was FoxholeP, who managed to edge out the competition with a solid round, earning the distinction of "sucking the least." FoxholeP's performance was marked by consistency and precision, navigating the challenging fairways and tricky…

I have no complaints, the staff is friendly, the fairways and greens are pretty much always in good shape and they have grass T boxes unlike a couple of courses I've been. I walk and my uncle has a cart sometimes i spend time looking for my ball we have never been pressured to speed up play. I use to play here 30 years ago and since retirement a couple of years I'm back every week.

Like many other reviews below…. Awful! I would give it a zero if it were an option. I have golfed here many times in the past, never thought it was great or the staff was friendly, but nothing like my last and definitely final experience here. I took my 11-year-old son here for his birthday this past Tuesday. I am not new to golf, but my son is, so I took him at a time I knew would be slow. Staff was unfriendly from the start. We were approached twice during the first hole. First complaining they didn’t realize my son was inexperienced and to make sure we knew not to hold anybody up (nobody in…

Awful experience. Called at about 11:30 and asked if I could show up in an about 90 minutes as a single. I was told by the woman on the phone it was wide open from 1-3. I showed up a little before 1 and a guy at the desk told me singles aren’t allowed. The woman eve came out and acknowledged it and apologized and all he said was “oh sorry”. Fortunately there was a twosome outside about to tee off I was able to join, so I had to run right out and start up. There were maybe 6 cars in the parking lot. And nothing on their site makes any mention of this rule. Course itself was awful. Tee boxes w…

I’ll never bother again! Don’t waste your money. Every time I play I wait 15/20 on the 3rd hole. It ruins the round! Look at all of these people waiting!!! No marshal to be found!

Course is in good shape and wasn't busy today. Got 3 pars out of 9 holes, which is good for me!

Course was in poor shape with divots and mud dents in the middle of all fringe area, fairways, etc at every hole. Every Tee boxes was made up of dirt and the starter was sending out people early and the pace of play was horrendous. Starter was unpleasant and told us to pick up so we could let other behind us play quicker. Staff inside were very pleasant and good though.

A fun course for the weekend player. Mostly flat, in generally good condition (a few of the tee boxes are in rough shape). The greens are large and have difficult contours. I enjoyed my 9 and will certainly return. A very good value close to home.

I don’t usually golf and don’t own a bag, the front desk person didn’t care to help us resolve the issue, simply said we could not golf. Would understand if this was standard but have been to other golf courses where I can keep my clubs in my husband’s bag. They also would not refund our friends who had gotten there and paid before us.

Great shape. The fourth hole has a new cart path right in the middle of the fairway which is totally nuts, but otherwise there are only a few things I'd like to see improved, like the second tee box should probably use Penncross seed to handle shade better. Overall, if you're local, you love this course, but I wouldn't drive an hour to play here.

The so called “manager” treated me and my friends very disgusting, she is definitely letting the power get to her head. We had 3 golfers and one guy that wanted to watch and understand the game better, the manager quickly said no if they aren’t playing they can’t go out. One of the guys stated that they will just pay for the extra guy to watch and she said no. Then we proceeded to tell her okay he’ll play we have an extra set in the car and then she proceeded to say no first timers if they want to learn go to the driving range so we had to leave as a whole

The course is clearly not maintained, with several of the tee boxes completely made up of dirt. Pace of play was terrible, with groups being sent out immediately after each other, there were 3 groups waiting on the same tee box at times. Our tee time was for 18 holes (twice around the 9 hole course) and this was confirmed by the worker taking payments when we checked in. We paid $40 for the round initially, but were tracked down at the turn and asked to pay for the second round. Unclear why we couldn't pay for the entire 18 holes at once, when our scheduled tee time was for 18.
