Gannon Municipal Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, offering a challenging layout with scenic views and a welcoming clubhouse atmosphere. The staff is generally noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the venue is appreciated for hosting events with quality food and ample parking. We recently had a function here after my dad’s funeral. Kim the function manager was extremely kind and accommodating to what we wanted. The food was outstanding and the server we had was extremely nice . Everyone that came was commenting on the view of the golf course and how delicious the food was .

Went for a function here. The food was catered and good. There were steps to get up to the function room and the bar. There was a handicap ramp in the back to use. There were bathrooms downstairs that were locked and bathrooms upstairs to use that were open next to bar. The place was not very pretty. The staff was nice and the building on the outside was gorgeous. Plenty of parking as well.

Saw the great reviews and expected an amazing experience. Greens were uncut and filled with leaves and sticks. Fairways were like rough with grass divots missing. Check in guy charged us extra for taking an extra ball and he was incredibly rude.

What an incredibly beautiful course it is, maybe particularly because of the season of foliage. Unlike its scenery, however, the course isn’t really enjoyable because the entire course is very hilly and you have so many blind spots between teeing grounds and greens, and also many holes are actually out of sight at all from tees. Walk is not recommended at all, and you have to drive your cart forth and back to check if players ahead of you are away or not. 17th par 3 hole of 200yard is substantially uphill so that you can’t see players on green. The bar in the clubhouse was more friendly atmosp…

Excellent public course. Lots of blind shots - so best to play with someone who can guide you on your first time. Your rangefinder won’t do you much good here as well since the greens are elevated and hidden / blind on many holes…a GPS watch would be better. Greens were very nice…and challenging…very few flat greens. Also very scenic and hilly - but still very walkable unlike some newer courses. This is an old school course with a vintage but fun clubhouse…and a true hidden gem. I was impressed and will return.

The parcel of land the course is on rivals any inland course anywhere in the world. It's sort of like a Public Pine Valley. Routing is exquisite, as is the mounding in the fairways, the run offs.... and the green complexes are as good as any top tier country club, and it's obvious they were made largely by hand, and a loooong time ago, there are contours you won't find in any modern construction. The back nine is simply remarkable, there are only two holes where play occurs to ones left or right, the rest is a golf trail along the back edge of the property and the reservoir. Im telling you, th…

Played here over Labor Day weekend for the first time. It was quite a challenging course- quite hilly and a bunch of hazards on the back 9. The course was overall very well maintained- would probably have enjoyed it more if I had played better. 😅

As a California resident who has never played a New England course before, playing at Gannon was an experience I'll never forget. This very well maintained public course has just the right level of challenge and scenery. The traps were light and fluffy (at least the ones I was in LOL), the greens were well kept and not too fast (for us amatures), with green well kept fairways on every hole. I may not get the chance to play Gannon again but because of the experience I'll definitely be planning more golf trips to the New England area. Great course guys! Keep up the great work!

Love the course but who ever the new guy in charge is thinks he's a cop. Next thing you know he's going to kick the kids off the sledding hill when in snows. Buddy it's winter time, relax.

Only reason it got 1 star was the conditions were decent. Most hilly course I have played at in my life! Club house guy looking over the carts was the rudest person I have ever met. I will NEVER come here again and don’t recommend anyone else to either. If you enjoy not seeing the green on 16/18 holes, waiting 20 minutes to tee off, and terrible customer service come on over to gannon. Don’t try to drive the cart back to your car to dump your bag either or you’ll get screamed at. Awful experience here, STAY AWAY!
