In summary

The Meadow at Peabody is praised for its challenging and dynamic layout, featuring unique holes and elevation changes that appeal to experienced golfers. The course is generally well-maintained with good greens, and the staff is noted for being friendly and helpful. However, some visitors have experienced issues with course conditions during certain periods, slow pace of play, and a lack of amenities such as a driving range or restaurant. Additionally, the course's policy on spectators and club sharing has been a point of contention for some.

Our group loves this course Great condition despite punched greens. Unique and idiosyncratic holes with great use of topography. Par threes challenging but rewarding. Continues on our best list.

Due to all the recent rain, the course was in great condition. Tee boxes are slightly beat up but not a big deal. Course layout is good and challenging. A Lot of elevation change throughout. Expect a lot of blind holes in the back 9. Lost a lot of balls!

Good public golf course that is still affordable. (Under $70 w/ cart for 18). The greens run a bit slow and the tee boxes could use some TLC but overall an interesting course with lots of bends and blind shots

One of my favorites on the north shore. Definitely tough if you're not hitting them straight. Recently played during Thanksgiving weekend and the course is in pristine condition from tee to green.

One of the worst courses on the north shore both in regards to tee box and fairway conditions and layout. Prime tiger would have lost a dozen balls on this course!

I've never been one to make a bad review, especially for a place I've been playing at since I started golfing, but my last interaction warranted this review and more. This past fall, I had a buddy of mine and his wife fly in from NC for the weekend. We booked a tee time at the Meadows for a Wednesday mid-morning on a gloomy day. My buddy's wife is from the area, so he used her father's clubs, and she was just going to ride along and hit a few shots here and there. When I arrived to the course, I paid for all 3 of us, not just the 2 actively golfing. Upon their arrival, the "manager", was ext…

Overall solid course, one of the best muni's I have played in MA. Played on a hot and humid August day so it was a battle all day but course was in great shape. DRY COURSE - didn't know this going in and would have...prepared...better before hand if we knew. Challenging holes, very much target golf and even with the GPS systems in the carts it was tough to tell what the hole was doing. A lot of blind tee shots and approach shots, but very solid layout and some very cool holes. Overall place was in great shape especially for a muni, the challenging layout probably keeps a lot of the typical mu…

This course is a challenge. The front has many blind shots. Play with someone who knows the course. The carts have GPS which helps, but not with fairway pitch and runout over a blind shot hill. The back is more straightforward with better hole layout visually. Come prepared to leave the driver in the bag on 4-5 par fours. Drives of 190-220 will work fine on those holes. Position golf is a must . The Greens are in great shape, but no one in front of us knew what a ball mark repair tool was. Actually seemed like everyone on the course didn't care about repairing marks. For the price it is well w…

This course is an absolute bargain for the conditions you get to play. The greens are mint - you'll be hard pressed to find better greens anywhere. The fairways are in good condition especially for a muni. Yes, the path layout can be confusion but you'll figure it out. This place will definitely sharpen your wedge game. I highly recommend overall.
