In summary

Salem Municipal Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere it offers, making it an ideal spot for beginners and those looking to enjoy a casual day of golf. The course features a straightforward 9-hole layout with scenic views, and the option to play all day for a low fee. However, the sand greens and worn tee boxes are noted as challenges, particularly for those focused on putting.

Great course! Friendly staff, and fantastic prices. The views are phenomenal. It's the perfect place to work on your drives and irons. Don't go here expecting to work on your putting. Perfect for beginners, students or anyone just wanting to be outside and swing the clubs. You can purchase everything there (balls, tees snacks), and/or rent clubs and carts.

love this place. easy 9 hole walk. pay one price play all day. great for exercise and beginner golfers. hard sand greens allow a different type of touch from all approach shots. Great place to play and learn the game for all ages.

I'll start with the staff. They were friendly and great to deal with. The course was in decent shape . The greens being dirt are ok for approach practice but almost unusable for putting. The tee boxes are worn out and show their age, but you can tee off anywhere according to the staff. Overall a good walking course to practice skills at your pace.

Great place to go if you're learning the game. Nice staff and it is the definition of you get what you pay for. Dont expect 50$ per round greens when you only pay 5-9$ will definitely be back again!

Really like this little 9 hole course. Very open and forgiving and you can't beat the $10 to play all day price ($9 weekday).

9 hole municipal course but I’ll lay it out for you. It’s $9 cash only to play all day. You have to walk it, there are no fairways it is 100% crabgrass, and the “greens” are dirt circles with a little sand on top and a hole in the middle.

What a fun place to play 9! It's a no-frills course with sand greens and $10 green fees.

Fantastic, fun, inexpensive place to hit a golf ball. The only downside is the sand greens, but if you are looking for a good time this is the place.

Good for 9 holes of golf. Putting is rough though, as the greens are sand.

A Spartan course, inexpensive, with sand greens. Good location, but minimal.
