In summary

San Felipe Country Club is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, reasonable pricing, and a course layout that offers a mix of challenge and accessibility, with some drivable par 4s. However, there are concerns about the maintenance of the greens, with reports of bumpy surfaces and overwatering issues. While the atmosphere is generally welcoming, some visitors have noted problems with course markings and the condition of carts.

Nice course..not too tough..they close early so if you have a cart you have to be back 15 min before closing time. There are some short par 4's that are drivable..the price is low..it. An get hot out there..bring something cool to drink.

Don't waste your money at this course. Prices are more than double what they use to be. If you enjoy spending $40-60 for a round of golf, on a subpar course with bumpy greens, this is the course for you.

This was by far the worst golf course we’ve ever been to. My husband and I are avid golfers and have experienced a lot of courses. To start, our tee time was at 8:15 and we showed at 7:50 to warm up. The club house wasn’t even open yet… except the door was wide open and the inside was trashed from a party clearly held the night before. Literally limes in the sinks from tequila shots. The course isn’t marked at all, you don’t know which hole you’re on or where the next one is. The driving range not only doesn’t have a safety net, but faces right into hole 8. As you’re trying to tee off, there a…

Had a polite & Texas friendly conversation with the golf course receptionist. There was a static on the phone line, though. Don't know if it was my phone or the golf course line. Anyway 4.9 stars. Looking forward to experiencing the San Felipe golf. Thank you & God bless. 🤠

The day I played two holes (like 4 as you play the 9 holes twice) were playing with temporary greens shortening the holes by 50 or so yards. The official greens seem to be recovering. My cart was terrible. It was a struggle to start it every shot. I was told after round the new carts have arrived and would likely be put out next week. With some TLC the course will improve.

I have been playing the course for over 20 years and in the past it’s always been a little gem. The course offers a good challenge especially with its postage stamp style greens. I will say that they have always struggled to maintain decent putting greens, but as of late they are bad really bad. I don’t know who they have as a grounds keeper, but they need some help. The practice putting green if god awful and don’t get me started of #4. I think they are installing a sand trap/ hazard on it. The watering schedule appears to be way off. The over watering is allowing for some sort of black mold…

Fun place. A nine hole course with two sets of tees. Incredibly cheap and the staff was friendly and accomodating. Busy all afternoon. Course was well maintained; surprisingly challenging. Not one “bad hop” can I use as an excuse for my score. I have played more expensive courses not in the condition this was. That being said, if you are a picky golfer, worried about holes marked correctly, everything pristine, etc., this is not the course for you. It appears to be a country club that didnt make it; and the course is now run as a municipal course.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating! They even offered me a Powerade beverage on the house after a long walk with my dog. My husband and I have been here for events which we have thoroughly enjoyed as well.

TERRIBLE. If you are looking to have a good relaxing time, this is not the course for you. After letting 3 groups of 2 play through our foursome, The Golf pro felt the need to follow us in his golf cart for every one of our shots to rush us through the course. After telling him we didn’t appreciate him following us, he stated he would call our Air Force base commander to tell him we disrespected him by telling him we didn’t appreciate his following.... It’s a shame, because we golf a lot and would have made this place an every weekend occurance. Will never go back, and neither should anyone el…
