Utopia Golf is appreciated for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and scenic hill country views, providing a relaxed and enjoyable golfing experience, particularly for those not seeking a high-end course. Visitors often highlight the unique charm of the course, especially for fans of the movie "Seven Days in Utopia." However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the course's maintenance, noting issues with the greens and fairways, and occasional discrepancies in pricing.

The Utopia Golf course is the meet up place for the Tree house rentals. The course looks tired and slightly unkept. The town of Utopia is very small and offers very little entertainment. The people we met were friendly but a few were weary of strangers. We ate at the lost Maple the food looked appealing but was tasteless and the chicken rubbery. We found an adorable mercantile with a lovely clerk. The town grocery was helpful, friendly and eager for our purchases. The tree houses were one of a kind. Relaxing, inviting, comfortable. A great bucket list getaway. We stayed in the carousel. We had…

We went because of the movie Seven Days in Utopia and had a blast on the course even though grass was sparse at the time. The broom closet in the clubhouse holds some of the original clothes worn during the movie. We visit Texas every Spring and will be at the course again this year in April.

Played this course because of the movie, Seven days in Utopia. Granted it's been over ten years since since the movie came out. Keeping things in perspective the course is not your high dollar well manicured greens and fair ways. If you play here just have fun and if your two feet from the pin just call it good.

My first time to play Utopia Golf, and it was a fun 9 hole course! If you are expecting professional golf course (pristine) conditions, you should go and spend the money you have to pay at a high end course! Don't go to a small town hill country course, pay a very reasonable price, and then write a one star review bashing the course and the conditions! The staff was friendly and helpful! The course conditions were definitely good enough to have a great time!! I will play the course again for sure!! Very beautiful hill country views as well!! If you go out to play, the Lost Maples Cafe is a gre…

Today I have to edit my review - first time doing so! My husband really wanted to play here so we tried one more time. Called today and John from the pro shop went ABOVE and BEYOND. So hospitable!! Super kind and welcoming! My husband had a BLAST. So grateful to John for making the Utopia Golf experience great!! Deeply disappointed!! We planned a whole trip around this course! I called months ago - specifically asked if they were open Thanksgiving Day - and was told "Ma'am, let me put it to you this way, we're open every day except Christmas Day". My husband was so excited! He's read the book…

John in the Pro Shop made it an awesome time. Everything I thought it would be. Beautiful place to come out and enjoy a quiet round of golf. Ignore the bad reviews from the Golf snobs. They don't understand what this course is about or having a good time !

Course conditions were pitiful for the price we had to pay. Had our beat up golf cart give out halfway through the course. On top of that was forced to call it early one hole shy of 18 because the course manager wanted to get out early. Kicked us out at 4:45 pm.

First of all, this course is horrendously kept. The tee boxes are overgrown, the fairways are heinous, the greens are absolutely atrocious, and worst of all the management is blatantly rude. Never come here. Utopia golf course is truly a club for members only, do not expect a friendly welcome or enjoyable experience here.

Very nice n relaxing 9 hole golf course. Greens nor the fairways were perfect but for the price it was a fun outing with my friends. Well worth the experience for those of us who are not avid golfers that want to spend a leisurely couple of hours chasing a ball.

Rustic old 9 hole course that has been converted to an 18 hole by addition of tea boxes. Beautiful drive to the facility, but don't expect country club greens or fairways, some are pretty good, most are marginal at best. Upside is weekday golf with cart is $25 for 18 holes, and you can bring your own beer!!!

Drive an hour to get to this place. The guy charged me $34 dollars for 18 with cart. Teeoff. Com listed the price at $12 with cart. Their website showed weekday seniors is $15 for 18 and $10 for the cart. When I asked the guy he just said today it is $34. The guy gave the cart and said "I didn,t bother to clean the cast because it will just get dirty again". I guess he will clean it for the next chump who pays $34 for the extra service. The course is trashed. More mud than grass. The greens look like clover and are riddled with fire ant mounds. This could be such a wonderful course. It is cri…

On August 11, 2021, I marked off a spot on my bucket list. The Links of Utopia. It was everything I could have imagined. I was in awe the entire time. So much to take in. The course personnel were exactly as they should have been. The gentleman the checked us in, was handing us the key to the only cart outside and said “Its guaranteed to make 18 holes, unless it stops “. Took pictures of every hole and all placards on the tee boxes.
