San Juan Oaks Golf Club

Stopped by and played a round here for the first time since 2019, and more importantly, first time since they renovated the course. Can’t say enough great things about the place; the course is in fantastic shape (in January!), greens firm, fast, and true, and the general grounds are simply meticulously manicured. If you’re in the area, this place is a must play. Go talk to Carlos Cardenas in the pro shop, and he will take great care of you!

I golfed the course yesterday for the first time. The course was exceptional and in great condition. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The food at the bar restaurant was very good and the presentation obviously thoughtfully prepared:). A special thanks to Carlos Cardenas in the golf shop for his professional and outstanding service and to Christian in the bar restaurant who was very friendly and attentive. Learned just earlier in the week that San Juan Oaks was back and in great condition. I frequented the course in the late 90's and early 2000's. Was wide open for tee times on a Friday morning. Beautiful course, great service, and perfect setting. Fairways were pretty firm even moist for an 8:50 tee time, but rough was fair and greens were immaculate...one of the best putting surfaces I've seen in the Bay Arere and extended. Front 9 (formerly the back 9) still had a few gimmicky holes, but we liked shifting back to a lower slope back 9 to offer stroke improvement (which I was unable to realize…

Great course and service !! But..... If you advertise it as "World Class Golf" A couple amenities should be present. Beverage service is a must Fri-Sun, a couple bottles of water on carts or water on the course, Golf tees (maybe a small bag on the carts or refill the box on #1, water box on #1 for cleaning rags to get wet, resident twi-light rate below $75 would be fantastic. Your dramatic price increases are bizarre and completely unwarranted. First of all, your course is in the middle of nowhere. I’ve played it over 20 times and I’ll admit there are some cool holes and fun tee to green opportunities. However, for the last 15 years, he used to be able to get a weekend round for $85; your prices have gone up 2.5 X. When you press yourself as high as you currently are, there are certain standards you’re expected to meet. Really enjoy this golf course. Friendly staff. Great driving range and short game areas. Everything is very well maintained. The course was in great shape except this time the greens were aerated. Usually they are fantastic. The only issue that bothered me was the golf cart GPS unit. The yardages didn't match my handheld GPS or my playing partners GPS units. There was also too many notifications and advertisements that popped up. Looking forward to coming back.

First time playing the revamped San Juan Oaks. Course was in excellent condition with lush fairways, firm greens, and green rough areas. Originally designed by Fred Couples, the new layout essentially flipped the front and back 9's. Each hole had different views and a varity of hazzards such as bunkers, creeks, a lake or two and elevation changes. Greens were fast, smooth and required a careful read of the tricky breaks. New renovations include a large driving range and two chipping greens and a large putting green. Club house is also newly refurbished. Had a great time playing here, didnt see…

Super fun Freddie Couples update. Very fun course. First time and we will be back! We’ll come for the food too as the Starter was right, the short rib grilled cheese was off the chart amazing! One tip is play early as wind comes up later in the day.

A recent round at San Juan Oaks on 8/31/25 provided a fantastic experience. The course was in excellent condition, particularly the greens, which rolled fast and true. The fairways were lush and well-maintained, offering a great playing surface. The layout presented a fair challenge, with a good mix of long and short holes and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. yesterday was my first experience in this san juan oaks. and i really like this course. conditions are fantastic. best fairway i ever played. and the guy in the proshop was soooo nice. green was super good as well. service is awesome. it really likes lux private golf club. even cart is sooo good. there is ball and club cleaner in the cart. i really wanna use the driving range but i didn’t have enough time to use it. next time i will use it and defntly will com back
