In summary

Gilroy Golf Course is appreciated for its unique 11-hole layout, scenic setting, and friendly staff, offering a nostalgic and challenging experience with well-maintained greens. Many enjoy the course's affordability and the distinctive design of holes, particularly the signature downhill par 3. However, some visitors express concerns about the condition of the fairways and cart paths, as well as slow pace of play on weekends, which can detract from the overall experience.

What a cool place with a cool old school vibe. Nothing fancy but a nice challenging course. Jeff at check in is really nice. I actually ended playing 9 holes with another employee from there, Sebastián. It was nice to have some who knows the course layout since I was visiting from Las Vegas. The cart paths are a little rough. Greens were in immaculate condition. Lots of break. If you're from a big city, this course is awesome if you want a change of pace to the slower easier side of things. I'll be playing one more time before I leave town. Enjoy!!!

It is a really cool and fun course. I thought it was going to be boring and uninteresting with slow greens, but it far from that. Much, much better than I anticipated. The 11 holes is a very unique, but it totally works. Lots of really fun holes and the layout/design is very good. No holes are the same. Greens, fairways, and even bunkers were in good shape. The piece of land it is on is really nice with rolling hills. Good range (not much grass, but not hitting off mats) and decent practice facilities. Prices are very inexpensive and the course has a friendly locals vibe. The 17th and 18th h…

My son and I have been coming here to golf a couple of times a week now for about half a year and both of us can easily agree that this is our favorite corse for the money . Although we have played many other corses around Santa Clara county this easily has became our go to spot to golf . Both of us really feel at home here at the Gilroy Municipal corse . Really can’t say enough good things about the staff and the corse itself. Really just an all around great place to golf . Absolutely Love it ‘ five stars all the way.

Nice course. Good gold carts carts. If the kitchen is open you should def get something to eat because the food is great.

I really can't recommend coming here on weekends. The price is fair, the staff is actually really nice, and the range is grass (though mostly dirt). The problem is the course is in terrible condition, the greens have giant patches of dirt, and the layout is really bad. This is not really an 18 hole course. I believe there are 11 holes, the rest are duplicates. As a result, the pace of play is horrendous on weekends, even at twilight hours. Today it took me over 2 and a half hours to get through 9. When I came back to hole 1/10, I realized there were 3 groups in front of me. I'd then have to…

Just finished playing it for the first time because I am new to the area, not trying to be mean or rude but I have no desire to play it again. I only played 13 holes because that’s all I could take. After a few holes I realized stay on the cart path because the fairways are so bumpy you can throw your back out. Only positive things are snack bar had good food and the greens were good. Have no idea how this course could have 4stars

Weird golf course. Municipal golf course. Fairways and greens average quality. Has 11 holes. For 18 holes you play #1-7 twice but from different tee boxes. So #1 is also #10. However, #8 and #17 are separate, climbing up the left and the right side around a big hill. # 9 and #18 are then played to the same hole but from very different positions. You might very well meet another flight on this hole. Anyway, #18 is quite interesting, a drivable long downhill par 3, 264 yards. All in all an interesting golf course but a bit weird.

It's a unique golf course, a lot like a 9 hole course, as 7 holes are played twice. The four unique holes go up and down a big hill on the course. Two on one side and two on the other. There are no water hazards, and limited bunkers, unlike a true championship course. However, the greens are small and fairly well-groomed and the course does offer some challenges.

This golf course is not easy! Very small old school greens that slope to the front. The best part is the staff. My wife and I played once a week before covid-19. The course is even better now. Don at the pro shop is a true professional. Thank you for your hospitality!

The fields, equipment, and carts were well kept and great. The front desk worker was polite and helpful. Unfortunately he was the only kind staff here. Very rude staff and countless rude customers. Me and my friends came here trying to have fun as we never played golf before and the worker got very rude with us because we let someone else go ahead because we were taking a while. Overall the course itself is great however the rest of the experience is horrible, wouldn't recommend.
