Sandpines Golf Links

I had such a wonderful lunch experience at Birdies and Bogeys at the Sandpines Golf Links clubhouse. The space feels fresh and welcoming with its recent updates, and you can really sense the positive energy from the new ownership and chef. I actually met the new owners on my way out, and they were genuinely warm and excited to be part of this beautiful place—it made the visit feel even more special. For lunch, I had the tomato bisque and the Albacore Tuna Melt—absolutely delicious and comforting. My wife ordered the clam chowder and the chicken Caesar wrap, and let’s just say… she didn’t shar…

Set along the Oregon coast, this golf course provides a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. The course is in good condition, featuring a picturesque design that weaves through natural dunes and wetlands. The greens are quick and well-maintained, and the varied terrain keeps the game interesting. Coastal winds can add an extra challenge, but they enhance the overall experience. A great stop for any golf lover exploring the area!

Multiple times recently I have looked online at tee times and it’s wide open, so I show up hoping to walk on, there is maybe 5-6 cars in the parking lot and not a golfer in sight, and they tell me I can’t get on the course for well over an hour. The course itself is great, the restaurant is good, but the service in the pro shop is iffy. Especially when you can go down the road to ocean dunes and pay less and get treated way better.

Whoever owns this course should be ashamed. I haven’t been golfing for a long time, but have played at a dozen or so courses over the course of about a year and this was BY FAR the worst kept course I’ve seen. The fairways are littered with crabgrass and weeds and the greens are a mixture of moss and cut down weeds as well. $120 green fees for this place? Are you kidding me? I’ve never felt so ripped off in my life. If the fees were $40, I wouldn’t be writing this review, but what I paid vs what I got did not line up. One of our favorites in all of the Oregon courses. In great shape. Highly recommend. Wind really picks up by 1pm. Recommend early tee time. :)

Beautiful course. Most holes are straight forward, with some bends or dog-legs here & there. Traditional links sand-traps: pot-bunkers. I played here in the afternoon and sure there was some wind but as a Pacific Northwest golfer who plays year-round, I don't think it was as bad as some of the other reviews make it seem. To me, weather is part of the challenge of golf. Anyhow, this was an excellent course for a great value and definitely worth a play. I look forward to playing it again next time I am able to stay in Florence for a few nights.

I saw an unfavorable review written 4 months ago, but anyone that called the course would have been informed it was still in a state of repair; I made such a call. We played last week. The course is a jewel that will soon be discovered by others, so play now before the crowds and the rates escalate. We played it on the way to Brandon Dunes, so it makes sense nice complement to a golf trip. The greens and fairways were in very good shape. Had a fun time at the course though at $99 for a round and cart it wasn't cheap. Course was in okay shape, felt like a muni level of maintennace: soggy in spots, missing grass in others. But where it counted like greens, putts rolled smoothly. The course design was not world class but it offered a good balance of fun and challenge, especially on the tight holes on the front.

Magnificent course, club house, and restaurant in a beautiful setting. They have 3 tiers of green fees based on time of day. The course us challenging and fun to play. Lots of risk / reward holes. It combines 6 holes of park golf with 12 holes of links style. If I lived in this area I would play this course every week!

If you can't get to Scotland, Florence Golf Links is an affordable alternative. This course is a nice layout with some wonderful challenging holes. I played in the afternoon and the wind was howling. A very fun test of your skills. If you're a Harvest Host member with an RV,you can play and spend the night. The twilight prices are a true bargain. By the way, the folks who work here are friendly and welcoming.

A great course with a more or less lynx style layout. Sand traps and water can be a problem. Recommend taking a cart unless you're in real good shape as there are some good hills and longer distances. Great facilities, restaurant is also good and the clubhouse /proshop will take care of all your needs. Ample parking and easy access. Really nice practice range. Pitching and putting area with sand trap as well.

Not just some… but all greens and fairways had been winterized. Was not told and not on website. The golf cart paths are really bumpy, and in places you have no cart path… which is odd when it says cart paths only! Means the bumps spill your coffee and drinks! No coolers, cups or ice! Bar was not open. The course is challenging, last holes are long. No happy greeting and lots could be better.
