Scothurst Country Club

Had a great time playing 18 holes at this course. It was my first time and will not be my last. Course layout is overall nice, but there are some challenging shots to be had. I can tell that the owner and workers have really devoted themselves to improving the course. Tee boxes were in great condition for it being winter. I can't wait to play it again here in the spring and summer!

I have been playing this course for a few years now and the turnaround in overall conditions has been remarkable. The greens were always the best thing about this place, but the tee to green is catching up! The tee boxes are filled in and not just sand. The fairways look incredible with different cuts along the way. Stay in the short stuff! Some of that grass in the first and second cut is thicker than you think! Kudos to the team here. You guys are putting in a ton of work, and it shows. If you haven't been here recently, I suggest you give it a second look!

Scothurst is an approachable, small-town golf course. It's family friendly and a nice place to spend an afternoon. It's also an easy drive from Fayetteville, Raeford, Laurinburg, and Lumberton.

This was probably the first 18 hole course I played when I started playing golf some almost 15 years ago. This was my first time playing since. I shot better than back then, but barely. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 4/5 - Biggest and only real issue was the sloped tee boxes. Fairways 2.5/5 - Missing areas of grass throughout the course, could leave you with a tough shot. Rough 3/5 - . I played this course every Sunday and today the lady at the desk who I've seen before was absolutely rude and disrespectful. I'll never go back to this place. Absolutely terrible customer service one bad experience ruined my love for this local course. I didn't even get to tee off. Ask for a refund and I'm still waiting for my money to be returned to my card. Absolutely horrible hospitality.

Well I being hearing how good the course was looking. Played it one time in spring time it was decent at least greens were. Played today no grass in fairways on tee boxes..greens are trash..well be last time I will play here..

Price went down which is good. This was never a $45 course. I’ve always loved the lay out and the challenging dog legs. The greens are better than 2 years ago that’s for sure. But still need seeding and plenty of water on some as they are extremely fast. Cut the fairways and I would probably give it 4 stars. The grass is there, just mow it accordingly.

Love the layout but the grounds need work. Especially the back 9 tee boxes & fairways. I hear it's under new ownership so I won't be too harsh. The greens are the saving grace as they are soft and great to putt on. I look foward to the new ownership improvements. This course could really be something special

Seeing a lot of care being put into the course and equipment over the past couple years makes playing here enjoyable

It’s sad honestly. If you’re a mid to high handicap you can probably be impressed by the “new carts” or the “renovated club house” but for people who actually know golf you won’t be fooled. I had high hopes a few years back when “new owners” came around but it’s just disappointing. I reviewed it last year and said tee boxes and fairways were terrible but greens were really good. Fast forward to now and there is grass on the tee box and grass in the fairway but the greens are suffering. Holes 5,12,13,14,18 are all about to be completely burnt. Been golfing here almost weekly for the past couple months, and I love the course. Great greens awesome fairways 4 tee boxes all for super affordable prices and great weekday promotions.

Played yesterday afternoon. The course is in really good shape and getting better and better every time I play!! Very reasonably priced !! The golf carts are brand new and are very comfortable and fast!! The New owners/managers are obviously all about constant improvements!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
