In summary

Shamrock Hills Golf Course is often praised for its friendly and helpful staff, well-maintained fairways, and reasonable pricing, especially for senior and veteran players. The course layout, with its old-school charm and forgiving nature, appeals to both beginners and more experienced golfers. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the greens, high pricing at peak times, and slow pace of play due to crowded tee times.

Some of the greens were in pretty bad shape, but the staff was discounting the greens fees which was more than fair. I’m sure the greens will improve as it’s very early in the season. The staff was very friendly and welcoming!! Especially Gary the starter and the girl behind the counter. Wish I had gotten her name. She was fantastic!

I like the course! Unfortunately, as the calendar turns to late September it is tough to maintain good greens. I understand. My suggestion is to not charge 52 dollars on a Friday/ senior ratefor greens not in good condition. Summer has brought income; maybe skip the Friday rates or adopt a fall cost

This course is always in good condition, but the greens were especially good yesterday. Freshly aerated just before a rain. Very nice. Fairways are in good condition too. Tee boxes are a bit firm, but very playable. Overall, I recommend this course. Prices are reasonable, conditions are good, personnel are friendly.

Old school golf course with huge trees. Fairly easy to manage if kept in the fairway. Reverse bowl greens always putt true and fast. Zoysia fairways perfectly prepared. The only knock on this course is at the tee boxes some of which are in tough condition. Fair value for the mid-40s cost.

The course if really nice and so is everything else, but it was my first time golfing and I got some really good hits and did amazing for my first time. The warden/owner of the golf course was watching my group after the 9th hole and came up to me twice for “running”. I admit I might of ran once, near the like 3rd or 4th hole but after that I didn’t run. The owner made my first time golfing not as fun as it should have been

This is a nice course. It's really well maintained and well ran. It's also not so ridiculously hard that you're going to lose a ton of balls if you slice a bit. We'll be back.

How do they get away with charging 60 dollars for a tee time? So many nicer courses in the area around the 40-50 price point. This course lacks amenities too! Limited flight driving range, no cart staff and the place is a swamp if it rained within the last 3 days. Overall, I would avoid playing here for that much money. 2 stars because I USED to play here around 40 bucks and that was reasonable.

Price has gone up quite a bit, but the course isn't really getting any better. I guess it's the consequence of a Biden Administration. That transitory inflation has set up camp. At last years price I would easily give it 4 stars. This is a fun walking course, with very little distance between greens and tees. 18 rounds of fair challenges that only add up to 5 1/2 miles. Pace is usually pretty slow, though, due to a lack of decorum from many patrons. Divots don't get replaced, and ball marks don't get repaired. You can walk it in 3 hours if no one slows you down.

Best staff experience I've had in a long time from a golf course. Super friendly and helpful. Pretty straighforward holes not to hard to but had a great time. Good condition

Good course. Forgiving for beginners and still challenging for scratch players. Have fun. Hit em straight!

Your prices are kinda ridiculous. I paid 60 dollars to play at 2:30 on a Sunday. That's a little much when some of the better course aren't that much at that time. Also could golf courses spread out their tee times a little more. 8 to 9 minutes apart is not far enough apart. Especially when you don't monitor your course and your marshall does nothing bit check out carts. Do better guys

Great little country course, awesome conditions, the friendliest staff and good senior/veteran rates. That being said, and I don’t fault this course for any of the following. All of us were playing this track for the first time. Keeping pace and waiting on nearly every tee box for the groups in front of us, we continued to be interfered with by the group following. One individual in particular would pull up on us while we were addressing our shots. Then having an issue when we would back off and await his impatience. The round was finished in a sub four hours time. A little slow for our normal…
