I arrived at 4:15, 1 hr and 15 min before the driving range closed. Ray, the front desk worker was very rude. The driving range closes 1 hour before sunset. He tried to make up a rule that it closed 1 hr 30 min before. Then he refused to sell me big bag of balls for the driving range. If you want a headache go here!

As a novice player this course is fun. The greens were maintained, the weather could be better the humidity was bad. This place is not recommended for the beginner as the course of play is semi fast.

Would give zero stars if possible. Genuine chance of getting robbed on the course- no Marshall’s anywhere. Expect a minimum of 4.5 hour round (if you’re lucky) and whenever someone walks up from a random spot to just start playing on the course don’t be surprised Oh and the actual course is complete garbage. “Greens” are mud slides with crabgrass and the fairways look like an old country road

Excellent municipal course. Friendly folks running the place and not too uptight. Price is just right for those wanting to play golf instead of show off their wallet. Pace of play can be slow, but that's fine with me. Clubhouse is on the left side of the brick building that is shared with the community center. Very little water and pretty simple layout, perfect for beginners and intermediate. Excellent care of the course.

Geeez!! Booked 9am tee time Sunday thinking we be good with time, they proved me wrong for sure. 7 holes in 2 hours?! Like what?! They just stack ppl between tee times seems like, worst I’ve seen it in long time. Why have marshals if they aren’t pushing the pace. Wow 3 1/2 hours in they just let 2 some jump in front of us bc they had 4 some they were late. Really after that much time you just let ppl jump on. So unorganized, marshal did nothing. Not coming back to this place

Sharpstown Golf Course is one of those hidden gems that you appreciate more each time you visit. It isn’t one of the fancy-schmancy golf courses — and that’s exactly why I like it. The course is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for golfers who want to focus on enjoying the game rather than the show around it. The staff is friendly, the course is well maintained, and the pace of play is solid. For someone still learning the sport, it’s the ideal place to feel comfortable and have a great time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a straightforward, enjoyable round of golf without the pretent…

The garbage can of Houston Golf. Greens and fairways are the worst I’ve seen in the entire city. Shop workers are taking money from walk ups to shove in between legitimate paid tee times. Only way to make them lose their attitude is to hand them cash under the table I guess. To say $18 round isn’t worth the money sounds dumb, but it isn’t. You’ll be there for a minimum of 5 hours for 18 holes as they let anyone walk onto the course at any time. Zero pace of play expectations and the course is over run by walkers who respectfully aren’t good enough to be walking. And they’re everywhere If…

I knew it was going to be bad when my second shot on hole 1 landed in the middle of the fairway but hit a 3 foot diameter stump. The fairways are harder than the cart path but thats the least of your worries. Every group was high and kept stealing balls and/or hitting into the fairway next to them while you’re trying to tee off. I was only able to play 7 holes on the front nine because on hole 5 a dog tried to attack me every time i picked up my club and it jumped on me and got my shirt bloody. Had to skip hole 7 to pass a group that took 20 min per hole. Played 7 holes in 2 hours and had to l…

Open fairways and forgiving layout. Best bang for your buck in Houston. Greens are surprisingly well kept. Great place for practice rounds or just getting out and hitting a few. Making a tee time is quite accessible.

This is a great course for all golf lovers. Fairways are wide and forgiving, greens are well maintained, and the course in all is not over challenging. For the price it’s a great value. Will definitely be coming back after my first time.

If you have a busy weekend of sold out tee times, you shouldn't let 2 some play and add a player at hole 10 than another at hole 13. They booked 4 players but show up 3 hours later? Starter only let 2 play cuz the guys coming late works at sharpstown as a starter but it's his off day so decided to just join his buddies who shots 10 yards off the tee box hitting from the whites. Called in the slow pace and ppl joining others, just for the Marshall to ignore it. On top of that, they have walk ups who wait for an openings to play between tee times. Wonder why it took 5 hours to play. How to spee…
