In summary

Shawnee Golf & Country Club features a unique and challenging course layout with a family-friendly atmosphere and a welcoming clubhouse and pool. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, noting issues with fairways, greens, and cart paths, as well as the high cost relative to the quality offered. Additionally, recent changes in booking policies and perceived unfriendly management have been points of contention for some guests.

Interesting layout! Greens need help.

I came out to play a round w/ a buddy who’s a member on a Saturday expecting to pay the previous cost of $55 (which is still too much for this place). I went into the clubhouse to pay & the guy said $80!?! I was already there so said OK. The place is pretty dumpy & not near worth the money AT ALL! About 1/3 of the cart paths are gravel, another 1/3 of them are all broken down crumbled up concrete. The fairways are terrible. It truly is worse than any other public course in the area I play for half the cost. Choose elsewhere because Shawnee Golf & County Club is FAR from worth it!

We have been members here for years. Great place and very family friendly. The staff are all kind and helpful. Great food at the club house and the pool is always welcoming after 18 holes. Keep up the great work all. Oh and Go Mill Valley Jags......!!!!!!!!!!!

This course COULD be five stars if they just took care of it better. It has pretty cool & unique architecture. It's not in HORRIBLE shape but it's not in GOOD shape either. Patchy fairways & tee boxes with many different grasses. Very spotty rough, which isn't that big of a deal if they at least make the rough good by the greens but it's at it's worst in those areas. It is nice they have 27 holes so I think the pace of play is usually reasonable. They are removing 2 holes and adding 2 hole so hopefully the renovations will be a plus.

A course with a LOT of potential, but poorly maintained. There are 27 holes and it looks like those extra 9 holes are keeping the crew from properly maintaining the first 18. You can expect to hit off 3-4 different grasses in the fairway, and 8-10 surfaces in the rough when you factor all the hard pan dirt and weed lies you'll be hitting from. Some architect obviously spent a lot of time and effort utilizing all the natural tree lines and water around the course, only to have a for-profit management company come in and choke the life out of the course. The hole layouts are very challenging an…

Just found out you can NOT book a tee time unless it’s the day OF or day BEFORE, unless you are a member. This a recent change, without notification. Which creates literally no available tee times for non-members who just want to play the course. One of the worst ideas ever. Drives down revenue or any chance of new members joining. Sad part about it, even the residential members are NOT allowed to book a tee-time more than a day out. Now, is it worth the price to when you can’t even book a decent time to play 18holes (the only priced offered btw)? Probably not. Has any ever been able to book a…

I was once gifted a yearlong membership here. I really enjoyed it, however it is extremely overpriced, and my buddies lives in one of the apartments recently told me he can only book tee times the same day or for the next day, I was considering moving to the apartments; not anymore...

Not very friendly GM, We were approached on the 16 th hole and ask for our names and receipts, seemed kind of like we were singled out. He went on to say that people were taking carts and playing for free.. he never stopped the group in front or behind us, he drove by us slowly on 18 and starred once again . Reminds of of a good old boys club .if hour not a member your treated differently. I will not play there again for that reason and it is overpriced also. The 19 th hole was the only place we were treated like normal humans.

Desperate need of new golf paths and restructuring creek beds to avoid destroying fairways from washouts.

Just bad. Extremely overpriced - $80 for a non member. Fairways, greens, and tee offs are an absolute mess. Can think of many courses that run half the price and are 10x the quality. Don’t even waste your time.

The course used to be a quality track. It has gone down hill do to owner putting in new apartments. They have taken out holes added holes and the course is a mess. Our dues are going up $50 even with the course in such a mess.
