In summary

Shoreland Country Club is frequently praised for its beautifully maintained golf course, scenic setting by Lake Emily, and friendly, accommodating staff. The club offers a range of amenities, including a restaurant, swimming pool, and lounges, which many find enjoyable and well-managed. I went in the end of 2025 and the course is beautifully maintained, the greens are in great shape, and the overall layout makes for a really enjoyable round whether you’re a serious golfer or just out to relax and unwind. One of the best things about this club is the setting. It’s in an absolutely fantastic area — peaceful, scenic, and well cared for. Driving by, you can see how much pride goes into keeping everything looking sharp. Places like this are important. They bring people together, give families and friends somewhere to gather, and offer a great outdoor escape If you’re looking for…

Classic old school layout. In fantastic condition with wonderful views of Lake Emily. Small town friendly staff. New clubhouse and restaurant is top notch.

Went with friends for lunch. Menu looked interesting with sophisticated details & twists on familiar favorites. What came to our table was lackluster. Each plate brought major flaws, all kitchen driven. (Return visit for dinner a few days later & a totally different experience! From appetizers thru mains everything served was excellent. Best corn soup I've ever eaten, well done Thai noodle dish, beautifully prepared walleye. Winners all around. ⭐⭐⭐⭐!) Such a beautiful facility, with charming, attentive floor staff. The club really needs to get a more even kitchen staff in place to match its…

Great Bloody Mary and the steak bites were tasty. The staff were awesome! Relaxing, casual place to hang out after a round of golf.

We had our son’s wedding rehearsal at the country club……from the moment we met manager Jason our every wish and all detail was handled beautifully! We had part of the upstairs dining room which closes off so you feel like you have your own private room. This included a nice size bar which we used for our “Welcome Drinks” for our out of town guests who arrived immediately following our rehearsal run through. The prime rib & salmon meal was wonderful—prime rib carved in front of you—delish! We had plenty of room for s dinner if 30 people & then the bar filled up with our other 30 guests—nice siz…

If you aren't a member I can't recommend you golf here.. $64 dollars 😆 for 2-3 inch long uncut fairways (completely unacceptable) and greens the size of tee boxes(which were also cut to 2-3in. You can find better manicured municipals all over for under $35 dollars. Keep in mind this course is short as it is.. I don't leave reviews ever anywhere but I was genuinely so disappointed , felt it's necessary

My group of retired friends, who try to get together monthly, have been out to Shoreland often. We've all loved our food ! The service is awesome & the atmosphere great. Hope they never take the shrimp poorboy off the menu, it's the Best!!

Ordered the rib eye steak with shrimp. The waitress never came back to ask how my steak was, and I finally flagged her down for some steak sauce, by then my steak was pretty cold. Never offered any condiments for my shrimp, no drawn butter or cocktail sauce. When you order the most expensive item on the menu you should get a pretty good meal. My steak was nothing but grizzle had to leave most of it on my plate. Not even a crumb of bread was served with this meal. I have never been to a place that didn't offer some type of bread with a steak meal. Garlic bread, hard roll or even a slice of butt…

A group of us were able to enjoy a Christmas Luncheon together. Our Server (Ianna - sp?) was exceptional: friendly, efficient and helpful. It was pleasantly quiet enough so we could visit easily. (Love all the windows!)

I dont know what all the bad reviews are about, maybe people dont appreciate golf in that area and/or have never been in the hospitality business. Eat a snickers bar people. You are complaining about about minor details. I was a first timer today and played a round with my daughter. The course was in great shape! even though we didn't know the course, we easily checked the pictures from the score card and figured things out. Great job grounds crew during this drought! After golf we headed into the bar for some lunch. Ashley did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we needed. The food…

Chase threw the golf cart keys at my buddy. Has been rude to us since we've been going. Threatened to take our memberships away because we had "8 people on a hole" because we were getting hit with golf balls from poeple behind us, who were late to their tee time and were rushing us .

I've never played the golf course, but the restaurant has consistently been very good. I'm very impressed that, even when there during a slow, off time, the food is still always on point.
