In summary

Silver Sands Golf & Country Club is often praised for its picturesque setting, friendly and accommodating staff, and well-maintained greens, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels. Many appreciate the course's natural beauty and wildlife, with some highlighting special events and offers that enhance their visits. However, there are occasional concerns about litter on the course, slow pace of play, and a few maintenance issues, though these do not overshadow the generally positive feedback.

Been playing this country gem for 35 years since it was 9 holes and $5 a round. Greens are always lush. Staff are friendly and helpful. Carts work well. Some very picturesque holes with potential to score well. Greens irrigated but i don’t believe the fairways are? Fairways are still thick enough to sit the ball up. A treat to play here.

Every time I come here, it’s guaranteed I will see a deer. Grateful for all the wildlife and beauty on this course. Make sure to bring 4x the amount of balls you typically use because you’ll loose a lot, it’s like a black hole of lost balls. 4 years ago my mom got engaged, and the owners were cooperative on planning a cake at the pro shop for after the round. This year we went on Father’s Day & they had a special $24 for the dads, which was lovely! Affordable & nice course. Friendly staff as well

Beautiful course cut out of the forest. Very lush fairways and greens were almost perfect. The greens were a bit slow but forgiving. We will plan our next trip for a day when they have been recently groomed. Staff are very friendly. Looking forward to our next round.

It was a great course. Lots of potential. We golfed late in the season so it was not ideal as they were prepping for winter but we still had a lot of fun and the people were very nice. The only thing I noticed that could really use a lot of work, and maybe this has to do with the time of year we golfed, but there was an extraordinary large amount of litter everywhere on the course which was very disappointing to see. It’s unfortunate because this a very pretty area with a lot of potential and the capacity to be a great course but the amount of litter was staggering. We will go back in the summ…

Had an awesome experience for my first time playing 18 holes at this course. The grounds are very well kept, the staff was super friendly and very helpful. Shelly the manager is fantastic and was very accommodating to our needs. This is a hidden little gem of a course and I will be returning and most definitely will be recommending to my friends and family.

The course was very good, challenging and well maintained. The staff in the club house was extremely kind and very pleasant. Really enjoyed the course.

Possibly the most poorly-maintained course I've EVER seen. We stopped playing after 9 holes and asked for a refund - and the pro shop staff didn't think it was bad enough to give us our money back. Then they blamed it on this summer's weather. The whole place reminds me of when five or six college kids, while on a bender, decide to open a bar; their only qualification is that they know how to drink. But in their stupor, they think that's good enough to run a business. The same goes here. It wouldn't surprise me that nobody on the staff has any formal training in golf course or groundskeepi…

My new favourite course. I was really happy with the layout. Only issue was it took over 5 hours to play 18 holes. Large group ahead of us were very slow. Maybe there should have been a Marshall out to keep up the pace of play. I’m sure my next visit will be faster

First time golfing at Silver Sands, won’t be my last. Loved the various elevations and the course was in good shape. Tough enough for me but I’m a fairly new golfer.

July 2025. Course was very fun to play. Groomed well everywhere. A few tight fairways so they can be ball eaters! Front nine has sand bunkers. They looked really nice but I cannot tell you how they played because for once I never hit a single one! Back nine is grass bunkers. Some of them pretty deep!. Played there for sure! We really did enjoy our round and the people at the clubhouse were friendy and accomodating. We were just passing by and thought we would try it. A little better signage to help us strangers find number 10 from the clubhouse is the only small improvement we could say was ne…
