In summary

Souhegan Woods Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, friendly staff, and enjoyable layout, with recent improvements in tree removal and bunker conditions enhancing the overall experience. The course offers amenities like a driving range and a snack cart, adding to its appeal. However, some visitors mention areas under repair, particularly bunkers, and a need for better signage and more rakes in sand traps.

What was once a place the people avoided due to the frustration of playing "Sandhegan" is now an absolute gem. Conditions of fairways and greens have never been an issue here but the tee boxes always left something to be desired. They have cleared out 1000+ trees and completely changed the feel here and condition of those tee boxes. They have also filled in many of the fairway bunkers shrunk many of the green side ones by as much as half. If you have not played here recently please do yourselves a favor and give it another try. For the amount you pay and the walkable nature of the track, it's…

Course is in good shape!! Some areas are still being revamped as they recently had 1100 trees cut down, but the holes are all in really good condition for late April in NE. Bunker placement makes the play more interesting and fun. Lots of pine trees so keeping it short and straight is to your benefit.

Their signage is poor, but the golf course is fantastic. The Pro shop personnel was great. The burgers at the end was awesome. I wished I grab a few for the ride home. 7 22 23. Definitely grabbed 2 cheeseburgers. The course was awesome. You still have no idea how many yards to go to the green. Everyone is super nice. 7 27 24. Another great experience. 7 26 25 It was a beautiful day. Just about everyone in our group of 12 played their best round. The folks are fantastic. We will be back.

First time and I had fun. Well laid out course. I only played the back 9. Some observations there were lots of bunkers and I would say they seemed thin and hard. There's also some areas under repair....for apparent reseeding. The nice thing is they do have a driving range that you don't see at some of the other nearby courses. A nice practice putting green. The clubhouse house, pro shop, and facilities well maintained!!!! Heck they even had a snack cart out on the course. Some other courses stopped doing the snack cart after Labor Day so kudos to them for doing it. Definitely worth playing. EN…

Took my grandson for his first round at a full size golf course. He was thrilled and so was I to be able to be there with him. Souhegan woods was the perfect course for our day! He had only played the back nine every time we went so I asked the starter if we could somehow play the front nine today as he’s never played it. Starter was so accommodating and we played in 2 hours. And I can’t say enough about the kitchen staff. The food is amazing and the interacted with both my grandsons. All in all a fabulous golf course.

On the plus side: greens are in excellent shape, fairways are very good, tee boxes OK, and excellent McWoods breakfast sandwiches at the turn. But sooo many bunkers are under repair, and the recent mass execution of trees, especially on the back 9 = more like Souhegan Stumps than Souhegan Woods. The course was already a bit ho-hum on the front, now it has less character on the back. A real shame.

Great Track for a great price. Greens were nice. Fairways had some spots, but overall great place to play a round of golf. Ranger was a great guy and did a great job at keeping things moving. Everyone was personable. Don't hesitate to give this course a go!

Love this course! The sand traps can be intimidating, but overall, it is a well-groomed course with a mix of short and long holes, so it's appealing to all golfer types.

Cours is in great shape. Friendly staff. Very reasonable green fees. One of my favorite places to play.

Although I think juniors should pay the junior rate during any time they can get a tee time, I do sincerely appreciate you calling to let us know that the junior rate is not in affect until after 12 on weekends and holidays. We want more youth to play. Thank you!

Played 6/8, always loved the course layout. A bit slow but to be expected on a Sunday. There are numerous areas marked "ground under repair" but when they fix these and we were told it's in process, the course will turn into a hidden gem. Fairways and greens are in GREAT shape, tee boxes need some work but hopefully they will get them fixed. We won't hesitate to go back.
