In summary

South Granville Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and well-maintained greens, which many find to be fast and challenging. The course layout offers a mix of fun and difficult holes, providing a good test for golfers. However, some visitors have noted issues with the fairways and rough, describing them as hard and lacking grass, which can make play difficult. Additionally, there are occasional concerns about the condition of the cart paths and the absence of amenities like a snack cart. Despite these challenges, the course is considered a good value for its price.

The staffs alway working and trying to improving the overall conditions especially on the Monday the day that they closed for the public but members allowed to walked. The greens are in great shape. The fairways are clean but brown of course for this time of the year. Hopefully the fairways will looking better for next spring. This course might looks easy but it’s pretty challenging with slopes and water. It’s only 23- 27 minutes from RTP. I think it’s the best for your pockets. Tee times always available.

Awesome course! Awesome staff! If you’re an awesome player you have to try this course!( aren’t we all ;) The greens are super fast and some are super demanding at times. Hole placement makes quite a bit of difference however you still have to have your A game to make par here.

The course itself has decent bones and could be a decent little track with its fun doglegs and tough greens, but it’s clearly been neglected for a long time. Also a total lack of a starter/ranger, and play was super slow. No drink/snack cart on a Saturday afternoon. Even with the cheaper fees and food, it’s not worth the drive

Course is a little challenging but the staff was really nice. I was greeted by a really nice dog when I came to check in for my tee time! The greens are kept very nice

Golf course is a lot of fun, got some tough holes, some fun holes, par 3's are not rediculously long. Greens are still healing from this brutal summer, but the track is great. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting!!

The greens were in great shape but everything else was absolutely horrible. Tee boxes and fairways are like concrete - barely any (living) grass and hard as a rock. Course is practically unplayable in current conditions. A good tee shot (if you can get your tee in the ground) will hit the fairway and ricochet out of play or become unfindable. Cart paths in horrible shape. Will never go back. Nice folks however, hate to leave a bad review but criminal to charge greens fees for a course in such poor shape.

Nice fun course. Guy at counter was friendly & welcoming. We enjoy the smaller local courses. Buck was fun to watch in his hunting endeavors.

Very nice clubhouse person. The course was not in good condition. Most of the greens were coming covered with a heavy dew and basically had an inconsistent putting surface. Oddly 2 greens were rolled, however none of the greens were mowed. The rough was a disaster with 6 inch grass that was unplayable and wet. If your ball landed in the fairways most of the time the ball would bounce into the rough and was lost as it was almost impossible to find your ball. The cart paths were in terrible disrepair and some tees were closed for repairs? They actually had forbidding signage stating if you playe…

We joined the pool this year and it has been a great experience so far. It’s been great getting to know everyone. Also, in my opinion, South Granvilles golf course is one of the most underrated in our area. It’s a challenging course with a lot of water, but I enjoy playing it.

So I decided to play here just for fun cause I have a tourney coming up here soon and it was a interesting course. It was free for me cause I’m a High School golfer but it was $27 for my dad which wasn’t bad. The course wasn’t in the best shape at all. The fairways were like the rough most holes and they were hard to play. The course was a goat track in my opinion but probably isn’t in the best shape right now. The greens were pretty solid but about everything else wasn’t very good. The staff was pretty nice tho

My first time playing here, got it for $20 on Golfnow. I wasn't expecting alot, but was pleasantly surprised considering the value. Shot 89 from the tips, holding greens and putting being trouble spots today. As always with my course review, I will break down the course aspects. Tee boxes 3.5/5 - could use some work, as there were hard spots that made teeing difficult Fairways 3.5/5 - The very first hole had a large area I thought was a bunker, that turned out to just be hard dirt. Throughout the course the fairways on other holes were kept well enough, elevation changes and undulations to a…
