In summary

South Muskoka Golf Club is widely praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, scenic setting, and friendly, professional staff. Golfers appreciate the challenging layout, with a mix of hole difficulties and excellent amenities including a clubhouse and practice facilities. However, some visitors have experienced issues with course management, particularly regarding tee time changes and interactions with marshals, which have led to dissatisfaction for a few. Despite these concerns, the club remains a favored destination for many due to its overall value and picturesque environment.

We are from out of town and were looking forward to golfing at this course. It did not disappoint. Wonderful starter with great times between groups. We did not feel rushed at all. The course was lovely. The landscaping was beautiful. We enjoyed the extra wide fairways And the layout. Our tee time was a little later in the day, and the last nine holes we felt like we were on the course by ourselves. A great day!

This is one of my favorite places to golf. Carts are in good shape, course is well maintained and well thought out. I love the beauty of the fairways and the flow to each green. The cart paths are all paved. The stone walkways and stairs are such a nice touch. The snack shack was a great find. Drinks, hotdogs, chips and plumbing lol I enjoy it each time. Been 3 times this season.

We celebrated my partner's 30th birthday here and rented the curling rink for a group of 17. We had such a wonderful time, the rink has a wonderful charm and the staff were so warm and friendly. Most of us had never gone curling before and we all still had a blast. It was the highlight of our weekend up north.

Absolutely beautiful course. It was very interesting and challenging. I had a great time and took in great scenery. The club house is very nice and the carts very pretty new and very clean. The grass in good condition throughout the course.

This is probably the nicest course in Bracebridge by far. The price is up there, but it is just a great course in great condition. Beautiful clubs house, beautiful golf carts, nice practice facility. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Very nice course. Price was reasonably. They appear to be making some improvements to make the course even better.

I used to play the course regularly at the turn of the century and only fortunate enough to get “home a few times since. Still one of my all time favourites! It was in great condition and the change of season colours offered an added bonus. At SMCGC you need to use all the clubs in the bag to make your way around the loop. Great staff, met nice local folks. I would play it every day.

An excellent challenging course, very well maintained and great staff. Awesome Junior program. Lots of hills so great exercise if you are a walker like me and beautiful Muskoka scenery. Don't be surprised to see a fox, turkeys, a few deer and some ducks along the way.

Beautiful course with perennial gardens throughout. Despite its beauty I cannot recommend this course because of how my group were treated. We were switched last-minute from front to back 9 start, which the Marshall initially admitted always screws things up, and then he proceeded to divert blame to us for a supposed backlog. Its true we were above par, and the foursome behind us were close but not right on our heels. He was condescending (asked if it was my first time golfing, it wasn't) then asked us to drop on the green and putt our way out (as if anyone would pay $130 to play mini-golf?!)…
