In summary

Southampton Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, challenging layout, and beautiful scenery, offering good value for money. Many appreciate the friendly staff and reasonable rates, though some visitors note issues with the cart paths and the cash-only policy. A few have experienced slow pace of play and occasional negative interactions with staff, but overall, the course is considered a worthwhile and enjoyable golfing destination.

I read the reviews below. What a bunch of cry babies. Cart paths need work. No credit cards. So what. This is the greatest course I’ve ever played. The scenery is beautiful. The rates are affordable. One women complained that she drove up on a green and got yelled at. She was lucky she didn’t get thrown off the course. If she did get thrown off the course she would have hit someone when she left the parking lot. I hope I never meet her. She seems like a miserable person. Bottom line go toSouthampton for an enjoyable day of golf. I’m sure you will love it.

Golf course is really nice! Some of the cart paths need mending. Overall I was happy to play there.

Course very well maintained, staff friendly, facilities clean, beautiful rolling hills and good views, greens very good shape and consistent speeds. A very good test of skills any handicap, will keep returning and highly recommend, great value.

To start, there is no pro shop. They do not care to have any selection it is right inside of their resteraunt. I paid 60$ to have a cart path that made my cart almost break 4 seperate times due to the lack of paving on it. Will not be coming back ever pretty bad course for the price

Great shape, The large pines are gorgeous and the layout is quite challenging and easy course to walk. Oh, did I mention that the price is right also. I would bring my 5 handicap friends there without hesitation.

Challenging holes and pitched greens make this course a handful. It's in great condition. Make sure you pay homage to the golf squirrel on #16.

The conditions were near perfect. The one star rating is due to one of their greens keepers, who yelled at us at the top of his lungs for parking the cart 2 feet from the path. To be fair, the clubhouse asked my partner to stay off grass on certain holes. The response was a bit terrifying, as this person was angry as could be, over a relatively minor thing. He yelled at us for 6 minutes, ripped out bags off the cart and tried to make us walk back. We were trying to calm him down until his boss arrived, but he wasn't having it . A similar thing happened to us last year with the same guy. I wond…

Nice golf course with reasonable rates. Fairways were in good shape with very few leaves for a fall day. The greens were a bit rough with ball marks and nightcrawler mounds. The fairways are a bit narrow and reward a straight drive. The greens were mowed tight and held your ball if you came in high. Nice clubhouse with reasonable prices for beer and food. Be warned, cash only, but they have an ATM in the entryway.

The fairways and greens are well maintained. It seems like they pay loads of attention to those vs updating other things, like the archaic golf carts and cart paths. The carts and paths are terrible. If you didn’t start your round with back issues, you’ll sure have them after. The grounds/greens keepers are always at it. Yeah it’s great but… Noise and in the way is a constant at this course. I’ve never been out there when there wasn’t an employee out there. There’s also no divot replacer bottles on the carts or anywhere else. The price is right, but it gets busy. Also, the greens are wonderful…

We played on a Saturday. I don't know who was in front of us, but they were destroying the greens, not fixing ball marks, not replacing divots, they really wrecked the place.
