In summary

The Orchards Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained, challenging Donald Ross-designed course, which features fast greens and a picturesque setting. The staff and amenities, including the clubhouse and dining options, receive positive feedback for their professionalism and quality. While most experiences are favorable, there is a notable criticism regarding booking issues and service reliability, which some visitors have found frustrating.

Hidden gem - this is one of the most beautiful golf courses in New England, and membership is a steal. 100+ year old Donald Ross course, impeccably managed, cute little clubhouse looking out over the course and friendly membership and staff. I’m always surprised that this place has such a small membership.

Good course in very nice condition with a lot of hazards. Greens were very fast. Accuracy is greatly rewarded here and for danger awaits for us slicers! Range is a bonus, too.

Staff was superb, bartenders and wait staff just super friendly, course in wonderful conditions, as with anything involving mother nature, a few blemishes. Grounds crew looks to be working diligently. Greens good to very good. Play well and hit it straight. The rough especially around the greens was very narly and tough.

Absolutely horrible service. I called a tee time in 2 weeks in advanced and the attendant at the front desk told me I was all set. I had friends flying in from out of state and we got to the course and they had no record of me ever booking a tee time. They could not even compensate me and had zero flexibility. Absolutely horrible the service of this course. It has gone completly down hill over the past three years. It really is a shame and I hope management realizes it. I am not the only one who will not golf there again until something changes.

Played July 10 th Safari Golf Club event !! 100 plus players Great conditions all the fairways and Greens were perfect. The layout is very nice and the greens are VERY quick but very true. The staff was very professional .

Played this course with the Safari Club on August, 26th. It is always nice to play this classic Donal Ross gem. Unfortunately, they had recently aerated the greens. So, while they rolled ok, I missed the usual quickness of the greens that they are known for. Great porch overlooking the course to finish the day.

Very nice course. We were there with the safari club. they treated us very nice. The course is tight and the greens are hard to read. For a 35 handy cap it was tough.

Played here last week with the Safari Club. Course was in excellent condition. Challenging track, but well worth it. Pace of play was very good.

Beautiful course that challenges both beginner through advanced golfers. Practice facilities are some of the best in the area and pro shop/restaurant are great.

The GEM of Western Mass Golf! Excellent course and superior dining options for lunch and dinner. I couldn't imaging belonging to any other course in the area!

Very tough challenging course...many elevated greens, very fast, lots of break. In beautiful shape. Deep rough. Not for the high handicapper.
