In summary

Spanish Trail Golf Club is often praised for its challenging layout with narrow fairways and mature trees, as well as the friendly and welcoming staff. Many golfers appreciate the well-maintained greens and the course's scenic setting. However, some visitors have noted issues with overgrown fairways and inconsistent course maintenance, while a few have expressed concerns about management and overall upkeep.

I've played this course several times in the last month. I really love the challenge of the tight fairways lined with mature trees. It forces you to have good ball and distance control as the greens are tiny. The course is very well maintained. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Cade, Louisiana is a perfect example of what poor management and unprofessionalism look like in the workplace. The way they treat their employees is unacceptable and speaks volumes about the leadership here. If you value integrity, professionalism, and respectful treatment, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Eagle Ridge Golf Club’s management has a lot to learn about how to properly treat people.

Played front 9 for High School Golf Meet last year, bumpy, cart path concrete was cracked and bumpy, muddy, etc.

Played this weekend and the course is in really good condition compared to the last time I played. Most greens were in great condition! Had a great time and will definitely be coming back more often! Staff is very nice and they take care of you!

Used to be a member here decades ago and the course was decent. Took a long break from golf and started playing again at Sugar Oaks as a guest for about 2-3 months. Came here to check out the course and forgot how beautiful the course is and it is well maintained. Having played most of the courses in the area, I have to say this is my favorite local course.

Went yesterday on July 4th to play with my son. Good times, the course was exactly as I've always known it as I was a member here growing up. Greens look well taken care of, however the rest of the course was not in good shape. Maybe just need to mow the fairways. You couldn't tell what was rough or fairway. The fairways literally looked like a cow pasture with 6-10" grass growing in clumps on every hole. Other than that, nice round, good service, etc.

Fair price, interesting course, fairly well kept up, trees/shade, well drained, walk or ride, scenic. Some tough holes. Sand traps need work, some of us don't play out of them. Staff always working to maintain and improve.

Had a good time on course today. Even after a good rain yesterday, it played well. Green were about 85% and the grass was fairly well maintained. For the price, I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

This disaster of a golf course needs to be closed until it is playable. It has a lot of potential as the layout is primo but the grass all over the course (including the tee boxes) needs to be cut. I look forward to the day this gem is shined up but right now it is a disaster.

Awesome course, crazy how well kept it is now that it is under new ownership. The greens are in great shape. Very laid back atmosphere as well. Will definitely play here more often.

This place needs a fresh cut. Seriously the greens were way to slow, as well as the other cuts of grass. I did however appreciate the course's layout and how the club house is full of playing cards to have fun with.

Old school course with very nice people. Narrow fairways but still fun. The greens were in bad shape but this was after a few days of bad weather. After 18 holes the home made hamburgers hit the spot.
