In summary

St. George's Golf and Country Club is highly praised for its impeccably maintained course with a classic Stanley Thompson design, featuring challenging greens and picturesque views. The staff is frequently commended for their friendliness and exceptional service, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for both golf and events. While the venue is celebrated for its historical charm and excellent amenities, a minor critique is the occasional lack of concessions during events.

Had the privilege of playing here with a member. The course is unreal, maintenance on this place is next level. The friendliest staff and A+ service. The clubhouse is so historic but first class amenities, very intimate atmosphere and plenty of active members. This places holds the number one spot of golf courses I have personally played. Highly recommended and coveted place

*This review is less about the golf course and more about the venue* I was part of the bridal party for my good friends' wedding this past weekend. It was a fantastic day, made even better by the flexibility and support of the Club’s hospitality staff. The food service was seamless, and when the programming had to be adjusted slightly at a few points, they were more than accommodating. The building itself has a lot of character and history, making it perfect for wedding photography. The view of the golf course and the trees looked magical in the background. We had the wedding on one of the l…

Incredible course. Totally old school Stanley Thompson design. The odd thing that I didn’t realize is that the course is across the street from the clubhouse. Rolling hills with lots of elevation changes. Bunkers were immaculate. Gotta be in my top 3 with Cabot Cliffs and Jasper Park Lodge.

Very well maintained course that hosted an exciting Canadian Open! The undulations are noticeable and the greens were immaculately kept. One star taken off for the lack of concessions throughout the course, i easily waited 40 minutes for drinks/snacks. Overall though you can get pretty close to the players and I saw some incredible shots. Playing this course would be fantastic.

Impeccable grounds and greens. Very picturesque and also punishing when you miss your approach shots. Greens are Stanley Thompson tilted and quick. Play with a member or get yourself a yardage book. You will have a great time.

James Mosakos is unbiased. St George's is my home course and my favourite place to play. They did run out of ice at the Open which doesn't have anything to do with the club.
