Starr Pass Golf Club

I didn’t play the course as others were higher recommendations. Heard the greens were recently re-done and the practice greens didn’t look great. But the course looked great otherwise with interesting multi-tiered greens. Heard it can get tricky especially first time playing it. The clubhouse was very nice with a spacious and nicely stocked pro shop. The people working were very nice and accommodating. The driving range was free and fully stocked even with an aiming stick. The practice green was small and the chipping area also small, but also a bunker practice area.

Amazing golf course. One of the best courses I've ever played. Very challenging but fair. And it's beautiful. I spent half my time just gazing at the scenery. The course was designed to fit into the surrounding geography. It feels organic. If you're not a scratch golfer, bring extra balls. I'm a duffer and I lost me some balls.

The course is in great shape. Over seeded fairways are lush and green. The greens are LIGHTENING FAST! They’re hard and don’t always hold. Challenging layout so keep it straight. Tremendous view of the valley. The surrounding hills are jammed packed full of Saguaro. Stunning scenery. A great place to experience desert golf at its finest. Staff’s helpful and friendly.

One of our favorite golf courses in Tucson. We have been there many times and always enjoyed it. The Catalina Grill has delicious food and is our regular stop after a round of golf.

My friends and I visited here last week for the second time in two years and were blown away by the course again. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming (everyone from the beverage carts, to the bag drop/golf cart attendants, to the pro shop and waitstaff/bartenders) which really reaffirmed this being my favorite course in Arizona. The place is stunning and we are looking forward to seeing how the newer greens continue to grow. I recommend going around 36 if you have the chance. Great job Starr Pass, we will be back.

Truly an excellent golf course. Staff are sincerely nice and helpful. The courses are well maintained and provide challenges. Views are inspiring. This is one of my favorite places to play golf, ... even if I lose a few balls during a round.

The courses we played was the pga tour qualifying school: Gambler and Pioneer. The conditions were mediocre around the greens with muddy grass and soft spongy greens. But the Staff was nice and the rest of the course had good maintenance. The par 3s were one of the best we’ve seen on our golf trip. The driving range is also pretty well organized, real grass hiting area with a short game area that has a bunker. The course design is fun and challenging so I will give 3 stars overall!

Love it !!! Wonderful layout, greens and fairway are in great shape. Challenging but fair - not for beginners. Slope for women from the forward tees is 130 - pretty high for women. Just beautiful Southern views - every hole is different. Very friendly staff. Great experience, can't wait to go back.

Star Pass offers a solid golfing experience, with the Pioneer and Palmer courses I played on Saturday morning in excellent condition. The greens were well-maintained, and the overall layout was enjoyable. However, at around $125 per person, it sits at a higher price point than some other courses in the area, leading to expectations of a more complete experience. Currently, the clubhouse is under renovation, which significantly impacts the amenities. Food options are limited to a food truck with only three menu items, and the $9 price tag for a beer feels steep considering the temporary setup.…

Amazing views, and the ambience feels very private despite number of people. Fire pits are nice, but don’t put off too much heat, so in the colder nights snag one of the heaters too and you can stay for hours. Down 1 star due to service speeds, but overall very positive and will be repeated.

Incredible golf experience at a great rate. Played the course on 10/29/2024. Conditions: A Pace of play: B Views: A Staff friendliness/helpfulness: A Value: A+ Great variety of holes all with amazing views of the mountains and desert. Lots of wildlife.

A course that is perfectly blending in all the giant cactus into the course design. You literally feel like playing golf in the National Park, otherwise you wouldn't find another course doing so. We played at Coyote and Palmer, honestly the design of Coyote is better than Palmer in my opinion, as it combines the scenes and design intelligence. But have to give Arnold Palmer the credits of the three Par-3 holes, all with playful designs.
