The best kept secret. Just don't tell anyone. The greens and course are in excellent shape and looking the best they ever have. New water system has drastically improved the conditions of the course. Bonus new water hazards are easy on the eyes but may cost you a penatly stroke. Little slice of paradise. Don't forget to stay for the sunset.

You will have a lovely, Scenic Drive to get to straight River. If you have not been there before you may want to use your Google Maps. I do not recall seeing a handicap ramp but there may be one. Plenty of parking. The outside deck facing the golf course is fabulous. The food is very good and there are Friday and Saturday night specials that I highly recommend. The staff are very accommodating and helpful the bar and dining area are comfortable and clean.

The wife bought me another year membership at Straight River Golf Course and I couldn't be happier. Love the family that owns it and the way they are trying to make it a great place to golf and still make it a challenge golfing there. I had a blast this year and now that I am retired, look forward to when it opens this spring!!!! Can't wait to see you Joe!!!!!

What a nice course! I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars because the signs on the course need work. It was difficult to navigate because the signs weren't clear. The ladies tee does not indicate distance so I had to hit from the men's box. There are several holes where the ladies tee is non-existent, but in fairness this is an Executive course. The greens here are some of the most beautiful and maintained I've ever played on. This alone should warrant 5 stars, but the inadequate signage was frustrating. For instance, on the par 4 after hitting the driver we could not figure out which 150 marker was…

Played this course for the first and last time today. The greens are in pretty rough condition and the markers for the holes all face the wrong direction. This course was definitely not worth the drive. I can see why tee times are not required - that should have been my first clue! Three stars becsuse there was some pretty scenery.

Course was in very rough shape. Greens were scorched and bare in so many spots. Signage to navigate the course non existent, tee boxes are comparable to hitting out of the rough on most courses… 40 dollars to play the back 9… 10 dollar charge just for my girlfriend to ride in the cart.. was not impressed in the least bit. Save your money and just go play legacy if you’re in town.

Did the full 18 today and haven’t been this disappointed golfing here before. There were two bachelor parties on the course, one of which had three large campers right off of the parking lot. Front nine (par 3) went fine; but on the turn we saw two carts from the bachelor party driving across the greens on 10. And parking carts on the tee box on 11. We mentioned it to the person working the bar and she completely ignored our complaints because “they were members,” but every other course I’ve played on, the members are held to a higher standard. I was extremely disappointed with the service tod…
