In summary

Sussex Pines Country Club, also known as Mulligan's Pointe, is praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, well-maintained course, and enjoyable atmosphere, with amenities like a heated outdoor bar and a spacious clubhouse. The venue is noted for hosting events and offering good food, with some visitors highlighting the quality of the local beer selection. However, there are criticisms regarding the condition of the fairways, particularly the use of Bermuda grass, and some inconsistencies in food quality and service.

Just wrapped up a conference in Ocean City and found myself with some unexpected free time. Decided to take a chance and drive up to Mulligan's Pointe in Delaware without a tee time - and I am SO glad I did! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating. Despite not having a reservation, they managed to fit us in within just 35 minutes! This level of service immediately set the tone for a fantastic afternoon. Highly recommend drink the local beer! Went with dogfish head and Big Oyster Brewing Co! Once on the course, the experience only got better. The pacing was perfect…

Bree was an amazing server! She was so attentive and friendly. She never got overwhelmed and kept a smile on her face!! Mulligan’s is lucky to have her! Nice venue, loved Dale Teat entertainment! Food pretty good.

As a Youth Coach for First Tee Delaware, we have been to Mulligan's in Georgetown as an organization any number of times to gather eat and teach. Management has a generous spirit and always treats us well. All told, a very comfortable place to play Golf, practice your skills as well as eat or drink with lush Delaware woods around you. Like many area courses, the lack of hills make is an easy walk spoiled, as the saying goes. There's a large tavern that has indoor and outdoor settings with above average, fresh pub fare...for example do not skip the batter-dipped fries served with most sandwic…

All the staff was very pleasant. We had a 2:00 tee time, the place was empty. We soon found out why nobody was playing there. The fairways had no grass, literally dirt. Had to pick up the ball to find a little piece of grass or weed to hit off. They should go back to regular grass, the Bermuda grass is costing them lots of customers and money!! Won't be returning.

Set up an appointment to meet with the event coordinator Erin at 10AM for our wedding reception. When we got there she wasn’t there. We called and texted her several times with no response. She read the message at 2:30 PM and didn’t apologize or anything for wasting our time. It’s a shame because I usually golf and eat here 9-10 times a year but I won’t be back now.

Went on a night when they had a special for beef and beer. Buckets of mix and match select choices were nice. The prime rib was cooked to the requested temperature. The fries were good and the Brussel sprouts were seasoned nicely. However my meal was well over the requested temperature of “medium” I ate a few bites but it wasn’t good and decided not to continue. The waitress asked how we were doing and I told her I wasn’t pleased with my steak. She offered to buy me my next drink and apologized. When the next employee came to clear the dishes, they asked if I wanted a box for mine, which I agr…

Worst condition golf course I’ve ever played. Went looking for a more affordable option with late notice. Came across Mulligans Pointe, which seemed like a solid option. However, after we get there and tee off on the first hole, we see the there is no grass in any of the fairways. They have Bermuda grass fairways, which are brown this time of year. They messed up something g really bad because the fairway was all solid dirt, with a little bit of crabgrass. Somehow they charged us the full $85 to play without mentioning the fairways. It was unplayable. You were penalized for hitting the fairway…

First time here since it's been redone inside. Very nice and bright. Plenty of room for parties and meetings, etc. Food was good, still working out their menu and staffing. Good experience, sure to get even better.

Always clean and friendly. I've never been to another golf course but I don't really feel like venturing out and going to any other one. I like this one. I've only used the driving range and it's is pretty nice. They have 100-150-200 range signs. Surrounded by trees and a lake. Also faced in a good direction. Going after 12 you don't have to worry about the sun in your eyes. Getting a bucket of balls is always super quick too. Seems like they have a variety of golf products if you need some. They have starter golf kits and gloves just to name two things. I believe they also have shirts as well…

Great public course. Hit maybe 4 houses so I’m sorry and this is not proof of liability. Looking forward to coming here again. $40 for 9 is not terrible

Went there Friday night for their prime rib, special and to watch the band. Absolutely the worst prime rib I have ever eaten. It was so tough that I couldn’t eat it. I ended up taking it home and giving it to the dogs, will never order that again. The music was good but a little loud.
