In summary

Swamp Fox Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, reasonable rates, and enjoyable course layout, making it a good option for both new and seasoned golfers. However, some visitors have noted maintenance issues, such as hard tee boxes and fairways needing attention, and the lack of rain checks can be a drawback for those traveling from afar. Additionally, there are occasional concerns about the course holding water and insect problems.

If there's rain in the forecast - and you don't live close - be aware - NO RAINCHECKS. Had to knock 'em down to 2 stars from 4. This golf course is a diamond in the rough. Great course, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Not like the "country club"in Berkeley county.

One of my favorites. Great layout. David and family do a great job with this hidden gem. I drive from Charleston to play here on a somewhat regular basis. No tee times. Call ahead is my suggestion. They do have large groups every now and then.

First, the course itself has an insect problem...bring plenty of repellent. Secondly, course itself was all that great. Holds too much water and not manicured well. Lastly, I mistakenly left my Android Tab in cart. No one turned it in and staff acted like the didn't care to look for it. So that's three strikes in my book doubt I will ever go back.

Sweet little course, no need to book in advance. Laid back, excellent for spur of the moment playing needs. Susan and David are very friendly and helpful.
