In summary

The Links at Lakewood is generally praised for its challenging layout and well-maintained greens, with many golfers appreciating the friendly and helpful staff. The course offers a fun experience with a reasonable rate, though some visitors note issues with uneven teeing areas, spotty greens, and limited amenities such as water stations and restrooms. Great greens! Spring weather has been a little taxing on the fairways by delaying the bermuda from growing in fully yet (Apr), but fertilizer has been spread, and the greens are perfect! Course has a few position holes, but overall a fun course to play.

Played a golf tournament here last Saturday and the course was in great condition. The greens rolled well and the layout was challenging (especially pin locations), yet rewarding. It is a short course that requires great shots to put you in a favorable position to score. The staff was nice and it’s definitely a track I recommend and look forward to playing again!

First shot of any hole should not be in 2” grass with the ball above or below your feet. Teeing areas severely overgrown and uneven. Fairways were decent, not alot of weeds or bare spots. The greens were also in poor condition with thick grass and bald spots. Hard to keep a ball on line in those conditions.

I was my first time playing the course. I think this golf course is a hidden gem! The greens were in excellent condition and the lay out is challenging. Every hole make you think about your club choice from the tee box. The rate was reasonable too. I enjoyed it and I will be back!

Links at Lakewood is a fun, interesting track. Drivers off the tee are NOT always the play. Some course knowledge is helpful. Conditions were decent. Should be exceptional in short order if weather and watering is consistent. Only negative - course isn't closer to Columbia🤔🤷‍♂️. Will definitely be back👍 Friendly owners/staff too👍

First time playing The Links at Lakewood today! Great staff in the pro shop and gave me good tips on playing the course. Fairways and greens were in great shape! Challenging layout with water and sand so not a grip it and rip it course. You will use all the clubs in your bag… Have fun!

Great golf course for the cost. Has a putting green and small driving range available to use. Gentleman who was running the cash register was nice. Layout of the course is shorter and little bit tricky but is nonetheless fun to play.

I've played Links at Lakewood 3 or 4 times over the past couple of years. It's a bit of a drive so the course isn't one we play regularly. I like the course. The greens are always tight and quick. Fairways, bunkers and rough are in very good shape. The place is not country club golf, but it is a good course to play and recommended for sure. I will certainly play it again when my buddy's call.

Ok course but not we’ll maintained. Around 7th there’s branches all around and a dead tree that looks bad and takes away from the course. Looks bad.

Nice course and would have been a pleasure to play, but, it is not walker friendly. They have one water station on #6 hole and it had warm water in it. Also had no Porta a Potties. Asked the staff and was told that the new owners (bought the place 3 years ago) are trying to make improvements. Seems a little slow to me.

I’m not a pro golfer but did the first half a few times and it was great, good prices, nice carts. Staff is very helpful. Perfect for pros and beginners....I live in Lakewood Links, so on hole 14 try to keep the ball from veering left....I got well over 300 balls! LOL! It’s a beautiful course.
