First off. The course is great. The kid behind the desk, cart attendant were super nice BUT The manager is incredibly rude. I walked in to rent clubs and every single bag had missing clubs. The clubs they gave me was missing a putter and came with 3 clubs that were left handed. I simply asked for clubs and the manager gave me an attitude as if I was an inconvenience for asking for clubs. My golfing partner said every time he walks in and it’s the same guy giving him an attitude. Then once I was done golfing, I returned to the pro shop to return my clubs. They closed at 1630! Did they tell me!?…

Played it many times and it continues to be a great golfing value. Course is moderate in difficulty with good mix of holes to force you to use all club's in your bag. Greens are a little slow and not a lot of people play here. Overall I recommend it.

Probably a 3.5. Wide open easy course that's kept in great shape. Small Bermuda greens that hold shots and roll great. No real hazards to speak of. I was in one greenside bunker and it had plenty of sand and had been raked. Pace of play was great. Caught up to a foursome on the back nine and they let me play through. Plan to play here again next time I'm in town.

Shaw is a great value golf course. It's not PGA level for sure but if you want a good round of golf at a good price, this is it. The course is set up to challenge you but not make you frustrated. As it is rarely crowded, always n really good shape and user friendly, I highly recommend this place for a golf outing.

Very nice course with some challenge to the normal golfer. It is close tothe runway so you get to watch jets take off. They have a pro there who helps with your putting and swing. Highly recommended.

A very nice course. It is a challenge and there are some challenges. The price is right and they have a pro on hand for lessons. It runs close to the runway so you get to see the F-16 take off.

We played Carolina Lakes today, 24 Feb 2021. I shot 85, and happy to have that. Greens are either velcro or pool table fast. Crowns at the holes are really bad. Fairways are very hard, no grass and divots were hard to get. I am retired Air Force, do not drive to this course often, and disappointed how bad an AF golf course can be. Not sure I will be back.

Great location for a working luncheon with the boss or colleagues and great place for good food. Service is excellent and I love the Pecan Chicken salad sandwich on Wheat bread.

First time playing golf in the state of South Carolina. This course is on the rebound. Fun and challenging all at the same time. Greens were a little slow. The rough wasn’t forgiving. Hit the ball on the fairways and avoid those pesky bunkers and you’ll have a solid round.

Beautiful course and well maintained. Challenging fairways. Only thing to watch out for is when they do course maintenance. (The maintenance is done to keep play year round, but sometimes it affects the play. Overall, I highly suggest playing here if you can.

I enjoyed getting breakfast here very much. This restaurant is like a diner. You place your order at the counter. Then it is made while you wait.
