In summary

Beech Creek Golf Club is praised for its challenging layout, friendly staff, and overall value, making it a popular choice among golfers in the Sumter area. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained fairways and the engaging course design, although some have noted issues with the condition of the greens, particularly on the front nine, which are undergoing improvements. Despite some areas under renovation, the club's customer service and amenities, such as the driving range and clubhouse, receive positive feedback.

Course had a decent layout with multiple holes having a fair “risk/reward” aspect. Half of the greens on the front 9 were basically hardened mud with zero grass. Range was in good shape.

Beech Creek has a great layout to it. The staff was great and my family and I had a nice time playing the course. My main complaint is the condition of the greens, which it did look like groundskeeping staff was actively working to try and correct. The greens were sanded and in rough condition. This made them inconsistent hole to hole. When the greens are fixed, I would gladly return.

Greens on the front 9 were very bad. Unplayable bad. Greens had like hardened mud with little to no grass. $50 for this course is very very steep. Will not be back for a while. Have never seen this course look so horrible.

Very nice course greens were fast. Only had a problem with par 3 #16.. very unfair green but looks like they are adding some to it so they have a flat area. I hate to say but had 6 putts ..omg

I loved the layout. The greens had just been aerated but it was still well worth the drive to play. Staff was super nice and as was the club house.

This is a good, challenging course. The greens were well maintained. The course, overall, was worth playing. Even the areas under repair or renovation were virtually unnoticeable.

Even though it rained Sunday night thru Wednesday, the course was in great shape and was challenging. It's definitely a "to-do" on your next golf outing in Sumter.

Nice course and great value. Sunday afternoon was only $54 for 18 holes, cart and decent rentals. Club pro super nice and even helped me find my lost phone and wallet! Only minor criticism was that the cart paths need a little work.

First time playing this course, but it was worth the drive! Staff was very friendly, and I was able to play the round by myself and finished in 3 hours. The greens are in great shape, as are the tee boxes. The fairways were a little dry, but they all gave good lies to hit from. I will definitely return!

1st time playing the course, and I enjoyed myself. Pro shop staff was nice. I like the layout and design of the fairways and greens. Easy to navigate, I seen 1 water station while I was there it had cold clean water inside. If you have a slow group or notice you are falling behind pace of play try and speed up a little or kindly let fellow golfers play through. They have a nice long range to help strengthen your skills. Every player I met was nice to me.

Beech creek is always a tremendous golf course and a great time. The greens are always in good shape. The fairways are always in good shape and the customer service is always friendly. You will also always get a good price and absolutely worth the price as well. Want to experience a good round of golf go ahead and head out in Beech Creek the only reason why I didn’t get five stars is because they are doing some renovation projects on the golf course so just be prepared for that. Go ahead and take yourself out to beech creek. It’ll be a good time, hit them long and go ahead and drop some birdie…
