In summary

The Club at Pine Forest is praised for its challenging layout, reasonable pricing, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both casual and serious golfers. Many visitors appreciate the course's architecture and the condition of the greens and fairways when well-maintained. However, there are recurring concerns about inconsistent course maintenance, particularly regarding the greens and fairways, as well as issues with pace of play and limited pro shop offerings.

It was my first time playing golf, and I had a wonderful experience at this course. The service was excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ especially thanks to Maggie, who was so helpful and welcoming! Unfortunately, it rained during my visit, but I still had a great time. I’ll definitely be going back to play here again! ⛳️

Actually love the course. It’s pretty challenging for an average golfer, with the water and mounds. When in good shape it’s a beautiful course. But when you’re going to aerate the greens, you should mention it either when the tee times are booked or more importantly at the time of check-in for your round. There’s also no reason to charge full price when the greens are being aerated and are impossible to putt on. I also understand that we haven’t had much rain so far this spring, but the fairways should not be in such bad shape. Not to mention that most of the tee boxes were half dirt. It looks…

The course is in absolutely horrendous shape. I’ve played golf In South Carolina competitively since I was 13. When I played Junior golf tournaments this course was one we dreaded coming zoning rotation because it was challenging and it was regarded as the greatest course in the state. Decided to play it because it had open times while we were back in town. However, now it seems it’s avoided because it’s a giant dirt box. $70/PP to play on these greens and it’s EVERY GREEN

This is a perfect example of golf ownership that isn't fully invested in the potential of this golf course. The architecture and challenge is as good as you will find in the Tri-County area of the low country. Unfortunately, the conditions are mediocre at best and sometimes their bordering pathetic. This course under the right ownership and greens keeper has the potential to be one of the best in the low country. The pro shop has practically no merchandise whatsoever, you can't expect to make money if you don't spend money again the biggest issue here is ownership or the lack thereof! Update:…

Great rate for this course. Greens and fairways in great condition. Able to use the driver a lot with course layout. Carts and cart paths in good condition. Nice driving range and club house as well. Will be returning!

Course was in a lot better shape than the reviews said it was. True greens are a little rough but very doable, didn’t see any bare spots. It’s not an easy course, water on almost every hole and fairways are tight.

Absolutely great course for the price. The course has a great layout. They need to invest in a sprinkler system for the fairways, though. Very reasonably priced. By far my favorite course for the price.

This course is tough. Without some course knowledge bring an extra dozen balls. You think you hit a perfect drive only to get over that hill to find danger close and your ball is no where to be found. There is no GPS in the carts and the tee signs are not very descriptive. The fairways are narrow and the par 3’s are long. It’s always been in great shape each time I’ve played there. It’s a real struggle for golfers who are new to the game. The staff is friendly and it’s usually not too busy. This course will humble you. Good luck lol

This is, without a doubt, the worst golf course I have ever played. The conditions are consistently terrible — it’s like they’ve given up on maintenance altogether. Fairways are patchy and full of weeds, bunkers are rock-hard or full of debris, and the greens are the worst I’ve ever seen. Bumpy, slow, dead spots everywhere — calling them "greens" is generous.

Absolutely grotesque course conditions. No starter, no pace of play, this place has become a joke of what it used to be. If you’re in the Summerville area and looking for good golf head to crowfield.

My first time there ,it was a nice course. Update, good driving range. Now a regular here for the range and putting green.

A great course that I would easily recommend. The course has a good balance of challenge from the water and few bunkers, but I wouldn't rate it as being too difficult or unfair. Many holes are lined by homes on one side with water on the other. I found the course to be in great shape in the winter with very playable greens and decent fairways. The cart paths are broken up by tree roots. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was actually amazed at how nice and friendly they were. I would easily recommend this course for a casual to serious golfer.
