What People Say

In summary

Wrenwoods Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, challenging layout, and generally good course conditions, particularly the greens and driving range. The course offers a fun experience with well-maintained facilities, although some visitors mention that the fairways and cart paths could use improvement. Recurring criticisms include slow pace of play, occasional maintenance issues, and pricing that some find high for a military course.

Greens and runups are in great shape....fairways need some work. Very fun and interesting layout. Chorizo burrito that the was recommended at check-in did not disappoint. Little pricey for a military course but probably because of location.

Great course. Staff is super friendly. The fairways and greens are in great shape. Par 5s are designed for long hitters and I used my long irons more here. I walk instead of riding, 10th hole is a bit of a hike but I enjoyed the course. Definitely coming back!

Course is in great shape. Greens were punched and sanded about a month ago and they are really coming in perfectly. Green speed is consistent hole to hole and probably around a 9 on the stimp. Its a fun and very challenging track.

So first, the course is typically in good shape, except when it rains in which it is a mud pit for 2-3 days. And the staff are very friendly. The driving range and putting greens are both good. But I am tired of being stuck behind groups of 6-8 people who bring their kids and waste everyone's time, or people who drive their golf carts across the greens, or people who hit 7 drives out of bounds and continue to keep seeing up. It took me 3 hours and 45 minutes today to play 12 holes at which point I walked off the course. I'm not going to play here or recommend anyone else to play here until th…

Wouldn't reccomend, greens are always in terrible shape, ball bounces like it has helium in it, if you ever want to less than 3 putt youre gonna have to stick it within 3 feet everytime

I’ve been coming here for years. I only had breakfast, never played golf and I loved it!

Loved the layout of the course, it was decently maintained. there were a few spots of dirt on the greens but it wasn't enough to affect your game. A couple of the pins were "volcanoed" with a noticeable mound around them, annoying but didn't ruin anything. The carts were aren't anything special, the seats were torn and they were pretty slow. Cart paths were pretty much non existent but weren't rough, can't complain. 96 dollars is a bit expensive for a course like this. The pace of play was very slow. Starters and marshals are badly needed here, 5 1/2 hour round of golf is a bit excessive.…

Course is in great shape, fairly fast greens roll well. Some of the Cart Paths resemble a Washboard, but apparently the Government just doesn’t have the money to support Recreation for the Military, but plenty to give away to Foreign Countries…

Was in town visiting some friends, went out to play this course, at the time it wasn't busy. Lady in the pro shop would not let us out to play unless we was walking. Her reasons was they only had 50 carts, so the carts were reserved for the tee times. I had never heard of any course making that decision unless there was a tournament scheduled. So, we could play, if we walked, but we can't play if we wanted to ride.. if they are letting folks off to walk, the would result in tee time (which apparently they had some open) freeing up carts.. so a few rounds would be finished before some tee times…

First time at this course. Great customer service in the shop. Staff outside alerted us when we were a few minutes away from our starting tee time. Parts of the fairway had weird soil, almost like fine grain dirt which made it difficult to hit on occasion. However, everything else on the course was great for the price. Course is structured well making for a difficult but fun time.

The greens condition in the last month should probably be a one star, but it seems like they’re working to get them fixed. The saving grace is definitely the pro shop and range. The employees in the pro shop always provide excellent customer service and are extremely courteous. Pace of play always seems to be good as well. Hopefully they get the greens in good order again. Edit: course looks a lot better! Practice green was firm and true, few fungus spots left but much improved . Didn’t play but driving by and looking at greens and fairways, they looked decent. Look forward to playing again.

This is a base course so to me it’s not as well kept as off base courses nor is it comparable. Yet they still charge off base prices. No cart girls, old bathrooms, worn car paths, range needs updating, and slow check in process. The course has a decent layout but needs better watering, drainage, and fairway/green maintenance. If your charging off-base prices you need to kept course maintained as an off base golf course.
