In summary

The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation is appreciated for its comfortable golf carts, friendly staff, and a well-maintained practice facility, with a layout that offers variety through its 27-hole course. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course conditions, particularly the greens and tee boxes, and have noted issues with pace of play and course management. While the overall experience is generally positive, there are areas for improvement, especially regarding maintenance and operational efficiency.

Went out on memorial day for our first round here and had a great time! The clubhouse and facilities are nice, and the golf carts were incredibly comfortable which was nice because I feel the greens and cart fees were actually pretty reasonable given that it was a holiday. Had a couple of first time players with me so we were definitely a little bit behind pace of play, but we just let faster groups play through and no one ever gave us a hard time about it which was greatly appreciated. Staff were all incredibly helpful and kind, so kind in fact I legitimately feel bad for not leaving a 5 s…

Pricey for what you get. Grass has been freshly cut, but was too long, so there's clumps everywhere, a few tee boxes are over grown, hard to hit. Most greens were pretty decent. There's no drinking water through out the course, and most of the ball washing stations, that's I've tried, were empty.

I have a really difficult time giving this golf course any higher than three stars and if it weren't for the practice facility, that's as good as any public in the area and the clubhouse. that's relatively nice. it wouldn't even get that! after recently being out there regardless of what the weather's been, the conditions are hideous as bad as I've seen on any course in the area in 20 years! Greens at least were decent thankfully slow pace of play is always expected here and the layout is just boring! on top of all this, what really agitates me are the amount of big pee, pebbles and rocks in t…

Always love playing at Wescott. However my experience yesterday wasn't great. I will say, the greens were very good, rolled nicely. Unfortunately, the rest of the course was absolutely soaked. Difficult finding even a semi dry place to hit from out of most fairways and around the greens. Tees were pretty rough, and many were very wet also. Everyone in our group agreed that the course probably shouldn't of be open for play.

Two hours and fifty minutes for the front nine. The pro shop told us the ranger had spoken to the group(s) ahead of us but they “just couldn’t get them to speed up”. Here’s the solution, pull them off the course. Also no one at the bag drop, but when we schlepped our bag around the club house there are (I counted) five employees basically doing nothing. You as an organization should take a hard look at the reviews and just try to be better. Even though we were given a rain check for the nine that we couldn’t have possibly finished before the carts were required to be turned in at 5:15, we won’…

I know it’s off-season so I can’t really complain about dead grass or bad greens but overall I liked the course, staff was cool, and the course layout felt fun yet challenging. Carts were super comfortable for the price which is rare for the price you pay! I will say that the layout of the operations is a bit confusing. I’m not saying it’s bad but just a tad confusing for someone that’s never played here. The starters didn’t really seem to care about times or people on top of each other tho. I got sent out as a solo with a duo and another single behind me so we paired up and had a good time no…

While visiting family in the area I had the pleasure of playing this course for the first time. We had a rare frost delay as it was very cold after Thanksgiving. We were welcomed warmly, they have a great bar and we were able to relax and have some coffee while waiting. When we did get called we had a wide open course and enjoyed some great golf. Carts were comfortable, starter was pleasant, greens were fast, fairways were in great shape. All in all it was a great place to play. Well worth it.

Great 27-hole course. Stays fairly busy, but really enjoy the layout. Great place for our PGA HOPE veterans

Overpriced for what you get, hitting off of turf on Par 3s. Being harassed by the course superintendent for pace of play as a group of 4 with two groups of 2 behind us. Verbally berated by an employee on the 18th green for parking the golf cart too close to the green. The cart was parked well beyond 20 yards from the green, and we were not informed that there were any cart path restrictions at the outset of our round. If you want to pay money to be harassed by staff then come here, otherwise I would avoid.

Played here on 4/12/26 and for $70, the conditions were extremely disappointing. Tee boxes were rock hard—honestly felt like you needed to bring a drill just to get a tee in the ground. The greens were in rough shape: a mix of sand, clover, and large dead patches, making it nearly impossible to get a true roll. Fairways were very dry, and while the ball would roll out 70–80 yards, that’s more a sign of poor maintenance than a benefit. There was also a complete mismanagement of tee times. We pulled up to a tee box and there was a group of 8 guys teeing off at the same time with 9 carts on th…

Not bad! Greens descent not very fast and a couple of the tee boxes were in bad shape but all in all descent facility! Good Range, Practice area! Clubhouse nice. 27 holes which is good. Bartender was Ok didn't seem very nice, but beer was cold and sports on the TVs so all good.
