In summary

The Golf Club at Harbor Shores is highly praised for its stunning layout and well-maintained conditions, offering a challenging and diverse golfing experience across various terrains. The staff is noted for their welcoming hospitality, and the amenities, including golf carts with GPS and a well-stocked pro shop, enhance the overall experience. While the course is considered pricey by some, many find the unique design and breathtaking views, particularly of Lake Michigan, to be worth the cost.

One of the best courses in the area, and probably a top 10 in the Midwest. An extremely well-maintained track, and each hole is designed to give the golfer a challenging shot off the tee box and on approach. Greens are fast and roll true. Bring extra balls, as there is a lot of water to navigate. Golf carts are excellent, and the GPS screen with hole layout and distance to pin was very helpful for first time players at the course. The pro shop has a nice selection of souvenir choices. Food choices in the restaurant were delicious, as our group ate lunch after the round. One of my favorite…

This golf course is stunning. There is not a single lackluster hole on the entire property. It’s impressive how much land it actually covers and the different terrain you progress through. In 18 holes you get a well rounded taste of the beauty that Southwest Michigan has to offer. It’s probably the largest golf course I’ve ever played on and I can’t imagine walking it. When it’s not as windy it’s hard. When the wind is pumping it can be diabolical. A “big boy” golf course in every sense of the term. The club house and practice facilities are second to none. Go and have fun but you’ll probably…

Played 8/13 4:20 pm tee time. This course is so close to being like the 3rd best public in Michigan. Incredible layout variety. You basically play 4 different styles in 18 holes. Some amazing holes on the lake. Only mark off was the greens need more time to develop. 5 years from now with continued good maintenance it should be in every top 10.

We had the incredible opportunity to play Harbor Shores Golf Club in Michigan, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, Joshua Doxtator, PGA General Manager, and his outstanding staff made us feel right at home. Their warm hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail made the experience unforgettable. It was especially exciting to mark Michigan as State #17 on our Golf in 50 States Journey! Harbor Shores offered us not only a beautiful and challenging round, but also the chance to be part of a course with such a rich connection to the community and the game of g…

Great course! Jack sure does love designing courses with a TON of sand. Will be back in peak season to play without aeration holes in greens and fairways.

An Unforgettable Round of Golf! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the chance to play at Harbor Shores, and it completely lived up to the hype. This Jack Nicklaus course is an absolute gem. The conditions were immaculate from tee to green. What really makes this course special is the layout. You play through four completely different environments – it feels like playing four courses in one! The stretch of holes (7-9) through the dunes with views of Lake Michigan is absolutely breathtaking and worth the green fee alone. Be prepared for a serious challenge, especially on the greens. They are fast, un…

Great track, great amenities and staff, carts were super nice. Just not worth 240 in my opinion. It’s a 160$ course at most.

Went in with high expectations and wasn’t disappointed. The course was in excellent condition, the facilities were top notch and and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We expected a tough course and it gave us all we could handle and yet from tee to green it is very playable for all skill levels. The greens is where the real challenge is. If you end up on the wrong side of the green you will definitely have some extremely challenging putts. Lots of undulating, multi-tiered greens that are fast and will test even the best putters. Absolutely will be looking to come back here in the futur…

This place is incredible. It's amazing. Hints of Kiawah Ocean course. Very challenging from the tips even at only 6700 yards. Bring so many golf balls. So many challenging shots and a stunning course. Only course in the world I've seen Bobny Jones Whisky. One of my favorites.

Most golfers in the Midwest know about Harbor Shores and these days it may not be much of a stretch to say that a good percentage of visitors to the Benton Harbor area are there because of Harbor Shores. Harbor Shores is the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course on Lake Michigan and the first beach, golf, and residential community in Southwest Michigan. It offers golfers the opportunity to play a championship golf course in championship condition. In essence, you can play where the pros play, under the same course conditions that the pros play in. When it opened in 2010, Golf Magazine ranked Ha…
