In summary

Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful layout, challenging elevation changes, and well-maintained greens. Many visitors commend the friendly staff and the comprehensive amenities, including a stocked pro shop and a bar with local craft beers. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the condition of the fairways, noting issues such as dryness and cracks, and mention concerns about the slow pace of play and the presence of advertisements on golf carts.

Course was awful. Overpriced. Tee boxes and fairways were an absolute monstrosity. Cart kept shutting down telling us we were in a restricted area even though we were on the fairway. Would not recommend. Went to the clubhouse after to ask for some hopeful resolution or even just to find out if conditions were always this bad and whoever was in the pro shop brushed us off, said that at least the greens are nice but we could try and talk to Andy next time he is in. The only good employee we met here was the starter who made for good conversation before the round.

Great golf course, very well kept. Good amount of elavation change. The bunkers are super nice. Will definitely play again. Between green fee and cart fee the round was around 100$. The carts were very nice. My only issue with playing here was the carts played advertisements, kind of disappointing you can’t even play a round of golf without ads l. Nonetheless the course is very nice.

Pros: Course laid out beautifully. Staff so helpful and the pace of play was decent. Cons: The fairways are so so bad. Cracked, dry, dirt. Drove right down the fairway and hit a patch of cracked earth and flew to the rough.

Loved it! Fun course, but greens are next to impossible unless you knock it real close. Played on a cold day early in the season when bunkers were not play ready and course needs a bit of TLC, but still loved our day out.

It's been years since I've played here. What a great course in every aspect!!! Championship course with tees for everyone. Super nice greens! The staff did an amazing job with an end of the year outing today 😀 👏 🙌 Staff, thanks for letting us play with the wetness and we appreciate every one of you involved with making the event a success today. 🙏🏻 Thank you 😊

Beautiful, full amenity golf course in SWMI. Service here is top notch, the course is well kept and provides some challenging holes. Pro shop is stocked with gear and the bar has a nice selection of local craft beer as well as other spirits/beverages. They have a banquet hall and locker rooms for members and guests. Great course for a fair price. Swing by, say hi to Paul and play a round, you'll be glad you did!

Great course. They take care of it. A lot of sand though so make sure you get your practice in before you play here. Pretty tough course but not too tough. I will be back again when I am in the area.

Course is in decent shape 3.75 on a 5 point scale. Played on a Saturday so going to be busy but it was beyond busy and not well managed by a ranger. Over 5 hour round. Not worth the weekend rate of $70 plus $25 cart. They advertise fee plus $50 for a cart. Played Blackthorn last weekend and it was much nicer

I heard this was a nice course. My first time there yesterday Saturday. It was by far the worst course i have ever played. Fairways hard , grass diseased and. Huge cracks in it. I dont think i will ever go back here. I was so looking forward to this day, and telling people about it. I was so disappointed

Course was great, carts are really nice. Played really fast 9 holes in about an hour and a half. I teed off around 3:30

In the past it was pretty nice. Our recent trip not so much. Fairways were hard and no grass in many areas. Greens were ok but seems like nobody wants to fix ball marks. Could be the weather this year who knows.

6 hour round. That’s all you gotta know. And the fairways are not green! I could write a 5 page essay on what went wrong. Ranger needs to be on top of people.
