The Golf Club at Star Ranch is a public golf course that has a Country Club high quality vibe about it from the moment you drive into the parking lot. The club house is elegant and the food is very good. The pro shop and starter staff are helpful and make you feel welcome. The practice facilities are high quality with balls included in the green fees and the practice mats even have slots in them to tee up your ball. Austin weather permitting their entire course is in stunning green condition in comparison to other courses in the area. The first time I played there I was in awe at how green it…

When you walk into the Star Ranch clubhouse, you can expect a clean and friendly environment. The staff are always nice and the range is a steal. All practice facilities are in pristine shape and the view from the clubhouse during golden hour is top notch! As for the course, it offers wide fairways and some very well maintained greens with challenging pin locations. I have never had more fun on a golf course! Will be coming back soon.

Great course with the best amenities range, chipping green, and putting greens all included in green fees. Greens were 7/10 maybe because of the season? Paid a discounted rate of $50 for a 2pm tee time on a Monday.

Course was in great shape and a fun layout. This was the first time I’ve played there, but I’ve played numerous corporate events. The staff should be commended, all of them. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, which is very uncommon for courses that cycle tournaments thru several time a week. Great job ya’ll!

I’ve been playing at this course for the past 4 years and have really enjoyed the overall experience, until today. After checking in we got clearance to head down to hit range balls as the staff was just finishing setting up the range. One staff member was still setting up the bag holders that were behind the range lanes and decided he would drive his cart and park right in front of us preventing us from hitting range balls. So we waited without complaining as others started hitting balls. The staff member never greeted or even acknowledged our presence. After hitting range balls we drove to t…

We walk into the Star Ranch clubhouse, a clean and friendly environment. The staff were nice and very welcoming. They explained the facilities and sent us on our way to the range. One of the bestnpractice ranges you will find...balls are there so no hustle on that point. Grab a bucket and go hit! We didn't have time to try the putting greens. As for the course, it offers wide fairways and some very well maintained greens with challenging pin locations. The pace was a little slow that day as the winds were higher than normal. Can't wait to go back!

Very nice course! I only played it once and thought it was a bit difficult, but once you knew your way around I think it would play better or at least easier. It definitely felt like Texas. I live in Virginia and Star Ranch felt twice as big as any course I usually play. It feels big and it's well taken care of. I would have given it a five star except I played two other courses near by I liked a little better. So it's really a 4.5 in my opinion.

I played here on 4/2026. The course was in great shape. The greens were smooth and rolling great. It was rainy and so we were forced to do cart path only, but that is a weather issue, not a course issue. The rate was fair. I will be back to play this course for sure.

Overpriced golf course for what you get. No discounted rates for twilight and a strict curfew time to get the cart back in time way before it’s even dark. The carts are very sensitive GPS based. You cannot get anywhere near the trees or any hazards without the cart locking or stopping. It’s ridiculous. The course is on good shape but it’s very open and easy.

Amazing course, extremely well kept and fun. Greens are fairly fast, course is forgiving, but can be tough with Hutto/Pville winds. It is pricey, but when you factor in the amazing range, and how well maintained the course is, it is worth it. Great practice facilities (Putting, Chipping and actual range). Staff is great and friendly.. Other than a fairly expensive course (Unless you are a member then it is super cheap) the course is a great experience.

NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY!!! I moved into this neighborhood in 2021 and was hoping to learn golf. I had been to this course three times previously and had a great time. On the fourth visit, I brought a friend who was brand new to golf. We played a scramble-style game where we’d pick up his ball if a shot went poorly and place it near someone else’s better shot. This resulted in the worst experience at Star Ranch. We were told once that we were playing a little slow, which was fair, so we sped up our pace. On the 9th hole, we took a bathroom break and let the group behind us play through, becaus…

From the vantage point of the neighboring homes, the golf course unfolds like an artist's canvas, a picturesque landscape dotted with emerald fairways and sculpted greens. The lush expanse exudes an air of tranquility, inviting players into its embrace, where every stroke seems to weave a tale of skill and precision against a backdrop of natural beauty. The meticulously manicured fairways carve through rolling hills, flanked by swaying trees that lend a sense of serenity to the surroundings. The crisp, manicured grass gives way to challenging bunkers strategically placed, adding a layer of in…
